I am an operating room nurse who has worked with Dt. Hossong and found him to be focused on his patients, seeking the best care with an optimal outcome. When my brother had issues with 2 months of lingering diagnoses, Dr. Hussong was consulted. Within days he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and I believe he would have continued to linger without his care. I would recommend this surgeon to anyone in the Lowcountry, he represents what healthcare should be.

Dr. Hussong is an excellent surgeon! I had several surgeries last year for my Crohn's Disease resulting in a hernia. I was nervous my scar tissue and Crohn's damage would make hernia surgery difficult but Dr. Hussong did a wonderful job and I feel great.

My husband went to the ER at HH Hospital was admitted and needed surgery. He was very fortunate to have had his surgery done by Dr R. Hussong. He Is an excellent surgeon and a very caring Doctor.

The last thing you want when on vacation is for your 88 year old mother with dementia to need emergency surgery in the middle of the night. Dr Hussong was exceptional in all ways. Firstly, he was kind and patient. He took the time to answer my forgetful mom's questions with respect, gentleness and solid knowledge of her surgical need. In spite of her age, the surgery was flawless and her recovery was easy. Dr Hussong made a difficult situation as easy as can be expected. Thank you Dr Hussong!

Dr. Hussong went the extra mile to operate in an area of by body that had been rebuild from prior issues. He researched all he could and they surgery went perfect and I was up and walking the same day. Never even had to take a pain pill! I highly recommend Dr. Hussong.
