List of Douglas SCOTT Schultz's Reviews
TKR Had TKR on Monday and on Wednesday I still had no pain. Stopped my pain meds. Dr Shultz obviously knows how to fit new knee. He’s great!
Dr. Shultz is an excellent surgeon. He’s very knowledgable. His personality is of a kind, caring doctor. He spends time with you and answers all your questions. I’d recommend him 100% for hip surgery.
Do not go to Dr. Schultz if you are even 1lb “overweight.” I am completely within the guidelines of ‘optimized for surgery,’ yet he refused to operate unless I lost weight to WELL beyond the recommended guidelines. (Guidelines: I should lose 2lbs, Dr. Schultz: you have to lose 20lbs before I will consider scheduling surgery!) I am resigned to months more of severely limited mobility and excruciating pain because of him! And he made me feel terrible and ashamed, I left the appointment crying. Thankfully, I am seeing an actually competent and caring surgeon in a different group next month. Do not see this fat-phobic and weight-biased doc, he has shown he is incompetent in managing care for you.
Knee Injury Dr. Schultz treated me for a knee injury with a steroid injection that has helped tremendously. At this point I haven’t needed further attention.
Dr. Schultz is personable and easy to talk to. I actually visited him simply for a second opinion, but was impressed enough by his knowledge, down-to-earth personality, and time spent with me, to end up having him do my knee surgery. I’ve noticed a few reviews that said he did not spend much time with the patient. I found that to be one of his great skills - spending enough time with me to understand my medical issues and let me share my thoughts and questions, but also not wasting time causing other patients to have to wait. I feel like that might be a difficult thing for many doctors to achieve; however, he has just the right balance. I really believe he cared about helping me improve my quality of life. The surgery went very well, the scar looks amazing, and the follow-up calls we made the few days after surgery were all handled very timely. He himself even called me back twice (this is unheard of!) to check on an issue. When you are hurting, you need a surgeon who is skilled and caring. He is both. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!
Dr Schultz listened and talked to me about what he had seen on my X-rays. He was both knowledgeable and communicated well.
Fantastic Dr. Follow throughs, explains everything.
Didn't like him I feel like he didn't take time to look over my xrays just was trying to hurry me out of there

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
