Dr. Frederic Smith is in my opinion one the best if not the best family doctor in the Columbia area. He is very knowledgeable and dedicated to his craft.

Dr Smith neglected to perform a basic examination after hearing my mother's complaints of pelvic pain and incontinence. When her blood work results came back abnormal, he told her to diet and exercise which she had been doing for years. Soon after her appointments with Dr Smith, my mother was properly diagnosed at MUSC with a malignant pelvic tumor/endometrial cancer.

I am suprised about the other review. Fred has been amazing for me. He will work you in to see him when there is an issue. So I have never seen where he has too many patients. He has been spot on with his diagnosis. He has always taken the steps necessary to ensure that my health issues have been addressed. His actions may have saved my life in diagnosing a DVT when I beleived it to be a simple injury. His bedside manner is great and he always takes the time to listen to me. I would reccomend him to anyone
