This is where I went and just left: 2550 Elms Center Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406. I was involved in a car accident with my niece yesterday. We were there 2 hours for them to tell me that they could not treat us. They took vital signs, then had the doctor eventually come in. She said it was her “recommendation” to go to the ER. We asked for medication to help with the pain and also asked for a letter stating her “recommendation.” I asked why she couldn’t see me and she simply said they didn’t have the imaging I would need. No questions asked by the Doc beforehand! No medication prescribed, no letter, they didn’t even want to give me a summary of my visit! Just to show that I was there! This not only was disappointing and disheartening, but we wasted so much time and in pain!!! I do not recommend this place! No care in the world...

Beware re: the Antibody Testing! The practice will tell you it is covered by insurance and then bill your insurance for $200 for the telehealth appointment that they require before you can have blood drawn. My telehealth appointment lasted no more than 2 minutes, during which the NP asked me my address and where I worked, and whether I was exposed or sick in the last 2 weeks. That insurance bill now means I owe $50, and the NP didn’t even ask me all of the questions reportedly required! Again, when I called and asked specifically about whether the testing was covered, this charge was never mentioned, and it is not listed on their website. That is unethical. Would not recommend an establishment with these sorts of practices, and would not recommend doing the Antibody testing through them.

PPCP are always on top of everything. Staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Hogue is the best family physician I have ever had, besides Amy (RIP). He took care of me when my parents passed three weeks apart. I experienced a difficult time the passed three years. Everything is under control, I am myself again and loving it. So I have been on the same meds for years and regularly go in every 6 months for bloodwork to get prescription refills. They started collecting co pays upon check in before you are even seen. Wait times have gotten longer and I suspect they do this to ensure people don’t leave out of frustration when sitting an hour after their scheduled appointment time. Now, with coronavirus pandemic and the call of health care professionals to self quarantine, I find myself short on meds. Do you think that in the midst of the virus that perhaps they could fax in my prescriptions for HBP and Type 2 to sustain me through this pandemic? Well, the answer is NO. They will not extend a refill unless I come in, where sick people are, mind you, so that they may collect my copay and bill my insurance. The other alternative is they will do a teleconference thing, but of course that costs a steep $50 copay in addition. Really Palmetto? I will be taking my copays and insurance elsewhere once this pandemic is over.

Answer the telephone and not leave people holding just listening to music. Not a professional way to do business.

Dr Tucker and his Nurse are amazing. Always a pleasant experience. The office staff warm and welcoming.

This office in monks corner because of Walgreens being closed with a remaining prescription to be picked up would not transfer my prescription to a open pharmacy. And reason pharmacy is closing is due to the hurricane so I. Don’t have meds. At all I’m diabetic and high blood pressure.
