List of Thomas P. Gross's Reviews
Dr Gross did a thorough exam and patiently answered all my questions or concerns. He was very personable and provided clear direction in my course of treatment. This was my initial visit with Dr Gross and it was a very positive experience! The office staff was also very friendly and efficient!
He is the most experienced and knowledgeable hip resurfacing doc in the country. Don't get talked into a total hip by a local doc. Do the research on hip resurfacing and then choose a specialist in this field that has done at least a few hundred procedures. Dr Gross has performed over 5000 and has developed special tools for ensuring proper placement of the hip resurfacing components. He also has helped develop special hip resurfacing components that secure themselves to your bones via bone ingrowth and without the use of cement. I had my right hip done in 2008 and it is so close to my own real hip that I barely notice a difference. It has allowed me to continue playing squash and tennis these last 14 years. All totaled he has done 8 hips on my fellow amateur athlete friends all with the same success as mine.
Dr. Gross is very thorough and personable. I have great confidence in his skill. I have especially appreciated these follow-up consults over the years.
I would bet that the many of his patients are of an advanced age. This doctor however chooses not to accept medicare. I wish I could understand his reasons.
Great place. Dr. Gross is a no nonsense person. I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment and left with no questions.
Dr Gross was great! He answered all of our questions and was very informative! Looking forward to my future surgery with him!
Dr. T. Gross is very professional and at the same time sensitive to the patient needs. His staff is extremely courteous, polite and handle, all matters in a professional manner also. I highly recommend Dr. Gross for your hip and knee surgical needs.
As a mother of 4 young children in 2012 and suffering from arthritis, doctor s here in Montana said I was too young for hip replacement. I did tons of research, learned about hip resurface, found 3 doctors in the country that were tops in 2012, and picked Dr. Gross. So glad I did. He called me after receiving my X-rays and we spoke about 20 minutes. He explained why others might not do it and what he would do. His staff was professional, very nice and accommodating, and I was there and home in 4 days. Now in 2022, I have been suffering with the other hip for 3 years, sent him my X-rays, he called, we talked, and I flew out there again. Different facility this time in his own surgery center, very professional. Surgery on the 12th, flew home on the 14th. Other hip still doing fine. I find most doctors and people have never heard of a resurface, but do your homework. It's worth it. He has 3 recovery plans based on your bone density, etc. I felt in good hands and my sister who came with me was very impressed and has recommended him to her friends, as have I.
Dr gross resurfaced my left hip 12 years ago. I have had NO issues with it while racing dirtiest, water-skiing, mountain biking and gym work. I came back when my right hip gave up. He is the most pleasant, informative orthopedic surgeon I have met. I have met a few. I am so blessed to have met and been repaired by him
Answered all my questions. Listened and asked questions regarding my concerns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
