Children's Eye Specialists's Online Review Report Card

I was very disappointed with our experience. My 7-year-old daughter failed a pediatric vision screening, and although I voiced concerns about her vision, I felt they were quickly dismissed. During the visit, we were told her vision was essentially “25/20” and that her eyes were fine, despite my daughter repeatedly saying she could not see well. Trusting my instincts as a parent, I decided to get a second opinion with another pediatric ophthalmologist. That evaluation showed significant nearsightedness (-2.00 and -3.00), which explained the symptoms and concerns we had been noticing all along. What upset me most was not just the difference in findings, but the dismissive attitude toward both my concerns and my child’s own statements about her vision. Parents know when something seems off, and children should also be listened to when they are clearly saying they cannot see properly

Dr. t and his staff are amazing. I’ve been to other pediatric eye specialists and they are by far the best, kindest, most accommodating and a joy to deal with. Plus, my child said their prizes are the best!

This doctor is a great doctor. My toddler has a condition in his right eye called esotropia. It's a eye muscle condition that makes the eye turn in ward towards his nose when he goes to focus on something. They sent us to this doctor to have his surgery done and after the surgery. He eye looked so much better. I mean you can see how much happier my son was to be able to see better out of both eyes for once.

I wouldn't recommend. I brought my son here not to long ago by way of referral from his pediatrician to have something looked at on his face (just below his lower eye lid). They informed me his eyes would need to be dilated. I asked them not to because we were just having this thing on his face looked at and we shouldn't have to do that procedure since his screening of his eyes had already come back perfectly fine. We were only there to have a bump looked at as a second opinion per the pediatrician's recommendation. They responded to me with, "we could reschedule his appointment at a time that dilating his eyes would be more convenient for you." How rude, right!? So I lost the battle, I let them dilate his eyes, and they were happy to report to me that there is nothing wrong with his vision (which I had previously told them, that's not why we're even here). They dismissed the bump under his eye, which has since come back, and BILLED ME FOR DIALATING HIS EYES. That's insane. Take your baby somewhere else, you don't have a voice here and the best interest of your baby doesn't matter, they just need to bill :(

Dr. Teed is exceptional. He is both professional and compassionate. He answered all of our questions prior to surgery and followed up personally afterwards. He is invested in his patients and never makes them feel rushed through a visit. We sought him out as a second opinion and could not be happier with the progress our child has made!

I am so thankful to Dr. Wood who performed strabismus surgery to correct my lifelong hypertropia. Since the surgery two weeks ago, I have experienced no double vision, had minimal discomfort, and the redness has nearly resolved. Dr. Wood, Kyla, Topher, Tanya, and Kelly are all so caring and compassionate. I highly recommend!

100% would recommend over MUSC … unlike MUSC children’s eye, they were quick, efficient, thorough, answered all my questions and concerns. Such a great experience.

This place was very unprofessional , my baby had an appointment with them for a whole month , they sent a letter to my house that told me a time and date . When I got there 15 mins early to the appointment time that was on the letter she rudely tells me I’m late and it’s gonna have to be rescheduled even though it was there mistake will not be back.
