I saw Dr Houlton as a surgery consult for my fibroids and she performed my hysterectomy. I was really happy with my overall care from being patient with me and my million questions, involving my partner through telehealth appts, to excellent bedside manner during surgery, and aftercare. She spends a lot of time with me in my appts explaining everything in good detail and is backed by latest research. I never felt rushed. I plan to keep her as my regular OB/GYN. Her staff is amazing as well. I also feel like they respect my time and affirming of my identity. I also liked that the clinic as a whole always had a Dr on call available to talk to me or see me, which was important after surgery. Especially considering the challenges of covid, I felt well cared for overall.

I saw Dr. Houlton for my prenatal care. I found her extremely thoughtful with great bedside manner and follows up on the latest research. I felt extremely well cared for during my pregnancy and I would recommend her to any of my friends or family.

Dr Houlton was only nice only after I asked to talk to the office manager. I went in for a Pap that was recommended by my primary...Dr Houlton comes in and says that she doesn’t need to see me. If I wanted to know the reason why I would be charged a whole visit without the pap to get the explanation. She was not caring or understanding until later. I heard her 2 min of whys and was charged 313 dollars. Not about the money but they really treat you not like a person here.

I had a lot of questions that were never discussed during my pregnancy due to Dr Houlton lack of time and patience. She was always talking fast, mentioning that she was in a hurry. During all visits I needed to wait 15-50 min before seeing her, however there was a day that I was 10 min late and she could not see me as she was leaving for lunch. I needed to stay at the office for hours to check if she could see me at some point (after 4 hrs). But the most horrible was her scheduling an induction for a Monday 9pm at the hospital, and after I was admitted and had an IV access connected on my arms, the Dr on call said that the induction was not necessary as I was making progress naturally, so I was sent back home. Next day another OBGYN agreed with the hospital Dr. Dr Houlton denied to schedule the induction for a day she was on call, but I ended up having my baby on a day she was available. She ignored my option of not having stitches, and sometimes it is still sore, 2 yrs after.
