Dr. Benich & his Staff are the best around.

Dr. Benich is one of the most compassionate primary Dr.’ s I have ever had. My husband was a senior patient of his long before I went to him. My husband was very sickly and suffered with many issues. Dr. Benich always listened very carefully to what he had to say. He never made him feel rushed to get out and move on. My husband liked him so much and Dr. Benich knew it. After going many times with my husband I decided to start seeing him myself. His bedside manner and professionalism always exceeded my expectations. I love that he does virtual calls on the phone. This is usually the route I choose unless I feel the necessity to go in. It’s nice to have a Dr. you feel comfortable with and can confide in. He is definitely a keeper in my book. His staff is also very kind, compassionate and accommodating. I’m sure it’s because they are treated with great respect. Thank you Dr. Benich for all you do. Respectfully, Tammie

Dr. Benich is an excellent doctor. A great diagnostician, he is able to get to the problem quickly. Positive, patient, and a great listener. As for the staff ; superb.

Dr. Benich is a very caring, proficient, professional doctor. Although the wait time is longer than any other MUSC visit, he spends enough time listening to my concerns, providing a through examination with education and teaching, and sits down to just ask how I am doing and what is new in my life. Dr. Benich spent over 30 mins with me during an appointment once while I was going through a hard time, dealing with depression and anxiety.

I usually only see physicians with Ivy School education. Been in and out of hospitals most my life. So when i moved to the Charleston area and needed to find a PCP I didnt think it would be so hard. No one would see me even when i would explain the ER visit. His nurse was the only one who cared and got back to me in a timely manner. They saw me the next day! Dr Benich started explaining things to be about my labs and test. The ER conviently didnt think it relevant. I was so suprised by how thorough he was and the amount of te he spent with me! If doctors keep telling you there's nothing wrong, see Dr. Benich! He was able to find the correct diagnoses!

I've been seeing Dr. Benich for about 3 years now and look forward to an office visit with him. Excellent bedside manner and has a genuine interest in my health and well-being. What impresses me most of Dr. Benich is small details he remembers from previous visits (non-charted personal conversations). 10 STARS!

I don't have any big health issues, but he has handled all my minor issues with ease and competency. Also allows me to take responsibility for my own outcomes and own them with respect to how I can affect my own health. For example suggesting Lipitor but not pushing it, following up with me 6 months later to check my progress on lowering it with dietary changes only, celebrating success even though he didn't fix it with meds!
