List of Robert Bolen's Reviews
I suffered migraines for 3 years and were on several different medications. I came to see Dr. Bolen and he changes my life. He listened to what I was experiencing and helped me. Thank God for him.
As a former patient advocate from NYC I implore you to avoid this dr his practice like the plague. He placed me on migraine Managememt medication and I had the most horrific reaction. Was there an on call dr? Did his office return my call? NO. Days later when I finally got thru to him he suggested I try stick w the meds as most get used to them. No one checked in on me. Well over a month later—the neurological side effects left me so impaired I couldn’t see the forest for the trees—I tried their so called service again but their machine was full. A neurologist back in NYC I never met had to talk me off a ledge. This dr owed me nothing isn’t even billing me—he was simply so utterly horrified by the quality of care I received the condition I was in that he stepped in to clean up Bolen’s mess. I assure you Bolen is so reckless he will end up facing liability—or harm someone. If you care about your health find a real neurologist. This guy is DANGEROUS.
My wife and I highly recommend Dr. Bolen and his office staff. Dr. Bolen takes the time to listen and understand the issues and discuss possible treatments. The first exam was the most thorough and competent we’ve experienced. He gave us complete confidence in the prescribed course of treatment. He is also very professional personable and friendly. We look forward to being under his care. The office staff was also very competent efficient and friendly. There was little wait time and they retrieved copies of medical documents for which I had been hunting for years. It is very important for TBI and brain surgery patients to understand which impairment might be permanent and which might be recoverable. From Dr. Bolen and the missing documents we now have a better idea of how to move forward in confidence with my wife’s continued recovery.
This guy was extremely condescending and only wanted to treat symptoms with more medications. We explained we are trying to find out the underlying cause and he responded with I’m treating you for what is written in your referral. He had poor diagnostic skills. Never seen a neurologist not use a light to examine pupils at all. His MOA expressed more competence. The most astounding thing was at the end of the appt we didn’t know it was the end he said this is what you can do and up front will help schedule test. He then walked out without looking at us or any type of closure. Very poor professional etiquette. He is the type of doctor that is making society lose trust in medical physicians.
Bolen wasnt an active listener seemed condescending and did not appear to be interested. He did not manifest good diagnostic skills.
To say the least he is a pompous jerk that needs to go back to medical school....in short I wouldnt recommend a flea to this guy. He doesnt care about his patients nor does he listen to what they have to say. Very Very disappointed by his service or lack there of.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
