I only met Dr Fann one time at my consultation. He was very cold and rude. He dismissed my concerns and ignored my requests. He didn’t come to talk to me prior to my surgery. Terrible standard of care/coordination at MUSC by Dr Fann. My parents were in a car wreck and ended up in Dr Fanns care at MUSC for 3-4 days. We asked to speak with him several times to find out what was going on but never saw or heard from him. My dad got severely dehydrated in the hospital because they wouldn’t let him eat or drink in case he needed surgery but didn’t put him on an iv!! He did not get his normal meds for afib so heart was acting up. After almost 2 days they finally started giving him his heart pills but he was throwing up snd couldn’t keep them down so his heart rhythm was bad. Again-should have gotten meds thru iv. Finally got food and I forced nurses to give him iv. Dad lost 6 lbs in 3 days and he’s not a big guy. Parents got worse in hospital instead of better. I have never experienced such a poor standard of care, lack of coordination. Saw 1 geriatric dr while there-never saw/got a call from Fann who was supposedly in charge of their care. Not impressed with MUSC

Dr. Fann met me at the appointed time, listened well, offered good advice, spent sufficient time with me, and answered all my questions. He did not perform any medical procedures at the time.
