the doctors are the best..

Vibra hospital in Mandan ND provided great care while I rehabbed after a lengthy hospital stay. The staff was very friendly and quick when I needed anything which was very appreciated.

Today my husband came home after surgery and a 5 week stay at Vibra. He never once used his call button as the exceptional caregivers checked and attended to his needs consistently. He was there once before so we were pleased to be their patient. There were smiles, lots of listening, and caring communication to guide his healing. All staff from the greeter, nurses’ desk, maintenance, dietary, and housekeeping attended with smiles and help. Our case worker spent much time arranging our needs after discharge. Thank you Vibra Hospital of Charleston. You are the best!

I've been in vibra hospital for 7 months now and in that time ive met some of the best nurses I've ever seen in my life. I was born with spina bifida so I've spent my entire life in and out of hospitals and this is the best experience I've ever had. Every place has a few bad eggs but for the most part the nurses and CNAs at vibra are top teir. Today I have nurse Trisha and I was here for her first day and ive had the honor of watching her grow into one of the best nurses on day shift

Emotional right now. Dawn brought me Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. I love some of the hospital staff. They are so incredibly kind. Alex also comes in and visits me on her lunch break or at the end of her shift. Alyssa comes and brings me food when the hospital food is trash. Miss Kimberly who works in dialysis and the front desk is also great. Sometimes I start to feel alone in here but it goes away because of the kindness of these people. This hospital is special. Coming here to get better was the best thing I've ever done.

My husband was here for 7 weeks after surgery at another hospital. We are so impressed with the care he received from all staff. Every person who entered his room cared for his every need. We do have to call out Dr. Sapp the wound care doctor and his nurse Grayson. Their expert knowledge and high level of competence was outstanding. On the day we left, all of the caregivers extended their warm wishes for his complete healing in truly kind words. If he needs the high level of care at Vibra again, we will not hesitate to go back.

I have family at Vibra Hospital in Mandan, ND. I visited yesterday and was so thankful for the personal connection the staff worked for during my visit. I was also made to feel like my being there helped in the healing process! Good job all around!

The hospital was cleaned and the Staff Members were always kind, friendly, and pleasant consistently willing to assist, which made me feel comfortable at all times.The Medical Team was excellent they handle our love one like he was one of theirs expressing love, concern, and kindness without any reservations.

My 63 year old son is there now . I want everyone to know what a wonderful place this is and how great the staff and all at the hospital workers are. They have done so much and are doing so for my son. They do not give up and do a fabulous job!! Thank God for these wonderful people. You could not find greater help .

I can't say enough positive things about the staff at Vibra of Charleston. Everyone was always so helpful and considerate of my Mom's needs while she was a patient there. From Kimberly at the front desk, to our case manager Linda, to all of the other , staff, nurses and therapists she had while she was there it was overall a great experience. Everyone seemed to care about my Mom and her well being and worked very hard to make sure she go the care she needed with the respect she deserved.I would highly recommend this hospital.Now, just to show that this isn't a total fluff piece, here is a little constructive criticism:1) The food was not good. Granted my Mom was on pureed food for swallow difficulty, but if you puree prime rib it still tastes like prime rib. I tasted this food myself and it was literally inedible. If you want patients to try and eat, make it taste good enough to eat. The cook needs to personally taste what is going on those plates.2) Most therapy doesn't work weekends. Weekends are a skeleton crew for the most part. You still get nursing and respiratory check ins, but no speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy or wound care on the weekend. For someone like my Mom who was already gone downstairs for dialysis half the day on Mon, Wed, Fri this is a huge waste of an opportunity to put in some real rehab work.3) There is no real consistency with the scheduling of staff. The nurse you have today, may not be the nurse you have tomorrow. That original nurse may be working that day though, just assigned to a different hall/patients. It is like you have to recite the history lesson with a new person three times a week.4) There is no effective communication between teams. PT doesn't talk to OT who doesn't talk to Speech, who doesn't talk to wound care, who doesn't talk to respiratory, who doesn't talk to Nephrology, etc.. The doctor (hospitalist) should really be the lead on coordinating these teams. Every team is so focused on their specific piece, none of them really see the big picture. In my opinion, that is where the Doctor (or at least the charge nurse ) needs to do a better job of stepping up and taking control to manage the overall effort.
