We are so pleased with the employees of FirstLight. My husband has Alzheimer’s and the care that they provide has been fabulous. My husband enjoys their company and the one on one attention. They spend time playing cards and board games which keeps his mind active. They take him for walks when the weather is nice. They can get my husband to do things that I can’t always get him to do. The care they provide has been excellent and genuine. Many thanks to the whole team at FirstLight.

My brother and I have been helping out our mom on a daily basis for several years. As she aged and her health and abilities have declined, we found ourselves in need of extra help. First Light was recommended to us by two separate resources. I found them to be helpful and understanding from my initial contact through the entire process. After meeting with us and helping us determine our specific needs, they assigned us a caregiver who quickly proved to be a great help and has fit right in with our little caregiving team. She has added another dimension to my Mom’s week and has provided some much needed relief for me and my brother.

This place is the most rude unprofessional people to deal with. They hire 18 yr old with no experience that want to sit on there phones all day. Not just one occurrence either. If you have Medicaid they will frown upon you like you are beneath them. They also lie to cover for themselves. They don’t stay in touch with clients and won’t even call you if your services are canceled. Do Not Use!

They are not reliable! The caregiver cancelled one hour before a scheduled visit and they did not provide a backup. They post your request for services on a calendar and the caregivers signup for shifts. If you need consistent, reliable help, this is not the company for you. You have no guarantee anyone will actually signup for your shift or as we learned...actually show up to care for your loved one.

Five stars for my caregiver, Kristen⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! I have Parkinson's disease and my mood and health problems vary day to day. Kristen's considerate, proactive care does not waver. (Today she came to me with a damp cloth to wipe chocolate off my mouth),and she is very conscientious and proactive in fulfilling the household duties on the checklist. She is dependable and has a delightful personality. Frst Light has been responsive to our concerns and needs, they LISTEN, and thank you for Kristen😊😊

First, can I just say... what a pleasure it is to work with Sharon. Sharon is the person you'll likely connect with when you call to inquire about your loved one needing some help at home. Speaking with Sharon is like getting a phone hug! She is one of the warmest people, and truly does her best to be creative in how she helps be a solution provider. Her caregivers become family to their clients. As a healthcare professional, that at times makes referrals to home care companies, I absolutely trust FirstLight to uphold the same great care and values as my Senior Living community does. It is a huge trust fall to refer your client, but I know with certainty the vetting process of their employees and the continued education they provide is above and beyond. Making the decision to invite someone into your home is intimate and at times nerve-wracking. Sharon will walk you through that process with ease. Very poor communication. I never knew who would be coming in to care for my father - the caregivers kept changing, and they were frequently late. Several spent most of the time looking at their phones and only talked to my father when needed (taking him to the bathroom or making him lunch). It was hard to get a hold of anyone in charge at FirstLight to discuss my concerns - calls weren't returned, etc. It was very frustrating, and after a month, I gave up and went to a different agency with whom I am very happy.

We had their caregivers come to our home to help us with our father. They all were so kind, gentle and patient! They gave my daughter and I some relief and peace of mind!! Also Sharron who set up the service came to our home and was really a wonderful lady!! So thank you Sharon, Abdul and Elizabeth as well!! These kind hearted people deserve so much thanks! FirstLight has been a great company to work with this past year! Also, I have really enjoyed my time with my client(s), and getting to know them on a personal/caring level.
