Sebastian Abadie's Online Review Report Card

Front office was nice although not overly friendly. Nurse was great. I’ve had UC for over 40 years and she told me things no one had ever said before. Dr Abadie was great! Professional yet friendly. Took his time. No complaints with this office.

First I was suppose to have a colonoscopy by Dr Abadie and I thought I had until my bill came and another Drs name was on there. The next time I went to the office I had Amy Smith a couple of times. I had severe stomach pain and had trouble with constipation. We tried a few things. About a year of this I finally went to my regular MD and he refered me to go to their office. So I specifically said I wanted Dr Abadie. So he comes in and I talk about my pain and he said I should go to another Dr in Charleston and I said I didn't want to drive up there and that far. So he goes on and he touches different areas of my stomach and I would let him know where the pain was. Once he got to lower right I told him it hurt. Than out of nowhere he walks out without saying a word and SLAMMED the door. The nurse came in and said I don't know if he's coming back but here is a paper call this number and make an appointment. Boy did I feel so undated for. I guess my pain wasn't big enough for him. He again turned me off of Drs here. I now feel like I am not worthy. As this is the 2nd time a Dr did me wrong here in Horry County. Oh and when I was there the day he slammed the door I ask the nurse about a different Dr doing my colonoscopy and she said he did and I said no another Drs name is on the bill. She went to look something up and came back and said he had a personal emergency. So I said shouldn't I have been told before they put me under. No response. Also Dr Abadie charged me as a NEW PATIENT. No wro g I had been to that office a few times begging for help. I have no intention on paying my bill. First the lie of new patient and secondly the only thing he did for me was make me feel unworthy of health care. So unworthy. There was one thing that my obgyn said was bad but the Dr who did my colonoscopy was fine. I even know it's not fine. Than for some unknown reason I am put down in my records as uncomplient!!! Why??? I will be reaching out to the advocates office. Dr Abadie was very very very rude to me. He may have a good standing with alot of people but not with me. So someone needs to explain to me why I am not worthy to have proper health care .

I have enjoyed working with Dr Abadie the years I have been with him. However, I regret to say that my most recent experience with this practice was unacceptable. I recently had two severe bouts of gastritis and irritable bowel. When I saw the doctor some five weeks ago he ordered an ultrasound. I never heard from the scheduling department as to the date for testing. I called scheduling numerous times and could not get through to anybody. Finally, a week later, a young woman answered the phone at the end of the business day telling me the request had been miscoded. She sent it back to the doctors office, and another week went by. I called the nurse, who acted like it was no big deal. She said she’d recode it and send it back to scheduling. I never heard from either scheduling or the doctor about the test. It’s been 5 weeks. What kind of doctor’s office neglects a patient like this!! I needed to have this test, snd they just threw it to the wind. When I had the second bout, which sent me to the ER, I called and asked to see a doctor. ANY DOCTOR. The receptionist told me there were no doctors available, PERIOD! She simply hung on the phone with no comment. I think the problem with this practice is the peripheral staff. They don’t give a damn about the patients. They’re rude and heartless on top of being inept. I say good luck keeping patients. THIS patient is GONE!!

I had a great experience. Every person I dealt with from registration to the Doctor were Very Nice and made me at ease. The nurses and Doctor were great.

We can say Dr. Abadie is a superb professional who answered every concern , was kind, and knowledgeable; and he and the entire GI staff and Debra, CNA were excellent from beginning to end at Tidelands Health same day surgical suites! We felt grateful to be in their care. Great teamwork. Thank you !

Yep, don’t waste your time. Seems no one in this office cares about your health and has absolutely no sense of urgency. Unlike a previous review, I don’t think they are overwhelmed, I just don’t they care. I would suggest to look elsewhere.

Dr. A is excellent. He LISTENS. Not many Dr's bother to. I can bounce anything off him, & he doesn't act like I'm an idiot for being proactive about my health. Great bed/chairside manor, explains things, answers questions (even if you have a laundry list of them). You leave feeling good, even if you aren't. Highly Recommend.

He is a nice doctor, gave me details for my cares, but his staff at front desk Stacy was very rude. I feel in general Tideland Hospital Staff are rude then any other facilities. Most of doctors are good.
