This is the worst hospital I've ever been in it's worse than the Los Angeles County hospital their are people screaming in the ER waiting room my wife and I have been waiting for 7 hours in ER and no Dr. I will NEVER COME here again. This is the most dangerous hospital I've ever seen.
Security told me to shut my mouth while cussing at me calling me the n word for no reason violating my constitutional rights of freedom of speech.Staff are not professionally trained and don't know what they're doing or talking about.Providing false information or not valid information to patients.Only there for the paychecks please keep that in mind when is this place going to shut down permanently they have enough stars to shut them down for good I'm counting on that date tidelands
If you expect to need a long duration of stay at this facility, do everything you possibly can to go to a different hospital. The communication from the hospital staff, office staff, patient advocates etc, lack basic abilities to communicate with you as the family, even with authorization from the patient. Refusal to answer calls, return calls, provide any meaningful explanations etc. Of course some of the people there were helpful and supportive but were generally newer employees. Doctors/nurses rotate through and each has a different mindset and set the patient on a different path from the previous doctor/nurse. Very little apparent effort to communicate with each other to go the same direction in care. It is amazing how many times it was said " I dont know, i havent read the chart" or I just got in I dont know". It is the complete downside to living in a small town and needing medical care. Customer service and empathy was missing up and down with most of staff. The meal delivery person, was genuinely jovial and wonderful to speak too.
I was there on 10/15. I arrived at 7 am. I had a fever and swollen left leg. I had not slept since 2am. I finally got in to see a dr at 1 pm. Apparently, they had called my name a bit before that but I had dozed off. After I got in a room, I was in there 4 hours. I had blood work and an ultrasound. I don't know if they were short of help or what was going on. I was pleased with the healthcare I received but it should have never been that long.
My wife was admitted due to covid. She was in for 4 days before she saw a doctor. Only after i tried to pull her out did the doctor show up. There was a mixed bag of nurses. 2 were very helpful and 2 were not at all. I realize these people are overworked and very stressed but seeing a doctor for the first time after 4 days is ludicrous.
This hospital will not allow you to sit in the ER lobby with your significant other. You also are not allowed to speak to anyone other than a security guard about it.
Horrible emergency staff!! They gossip more then take care of the patient. I was there for 4 hours and not one bit of information to what was wrong with me!! I will not recommend them to anyone
I just had my egd today, and dr. abadie is great, friendly and made me feel comfortable. The whole staff was so pleasant and kind. You don't really see that anymore. Thank you Ms. Carol, Ms. Samantha and Mr. Doug... have a great day!!!!
Had a procedure done. All the staff were professional and friendly. The surgery center is clean and bright.
Unfortunately my dad passed away last Thursday night June 10, 2021 at the Waccamaw Community hospital after being there for 9 days. He was 84 and had just moved here the Saturday a couple of weeks prior. Fortunately however we got him moved here just in time. The staff on 3rd floor East and the Dr's could not have treated and cared from my dad and my family better than they did. Dr P (can't spell it or pronounce it but that's what the nurses called him) was absolutely top notch. And treated my dad and my family with so much care and respect. The nursing staff April, Lynda, Joanne, Eddy and I wish I could remember every name, went above and beyond. Even the food service and cleaning crew took a minute to talk to my dad and us even though my dad had no clue they were there. Just total respect! Thank you so much for making my dads last nine days the best they could be for him and us. Our hearts will forever be greatful and be with all of you! James Baker RIP!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
