This doctor saved my life. In college I got lupus and was close to death. Medical books said I had a 1 in 4 chance of living 5 years. Well, 36 years later here I am, working, married, and my son just married. Dr. Conaway is worth the wait. He is world class.

The best Flight Surgeon I ever experienced while in the Air Force!
Inconsiderate, stand off ish and I was incorrectly diagnosed.
4 appointments 3 unexplained cancellations. 1.5 hr wait for the one he showed up for.
I'm very happy with my care. Dr. Conaway is very thorough when going over my test results. He's caring and professional. I'm able to explain and go over all of my concerns with him because he is a good listener and responds to all of my concerns. Happy to have him as my physician.
Please FIND A DIFFERENT Dr. I had bloodwork that specified critical antibodies in Nov 2016. My Primary Care is also associated with Carolina Health Specialist as is Dr. Conaway. It took 4 months to get my Appoint in Feb 2017, Confirmed for no known reason they canceled my Appoint. Did not seem to care. Unhappily Rescheduled for April 2017. Confirmed and guess what they CANCELLED AGAIN! Six months and no Appoint. UNBELIEVABLE!!! A good Rheumatologist is tough to find. Beware of this one!
I would advise, unless you can't possibly get to another facility, that you stay away from this provider. I stayed away because he never saw me. Had no choice. I made the initial appt, he foisted me off to his PA, and from that day on, despite the fact that she prescribed my health care plan, heavy duty drugs, an excess amount of Vitamin D, and the fact that I specifically asked to see the physician, it never happened. I am wondering if Medicare is aware that this doctor doesn't see his patients (my assumption as he never saw me after the initial visit) and that his PA...not a doctor, a PA, is taking care of patients. I pay more money at a hairdresser for what they call a 'master stylist". She doesn't turn my hair care over to her helper. I see HER and only her. If this physician is that busy, that overloaded, then he must be a greedy, money hungry person. I don't know who the patient is that wrote he pays attention and gives time to his patients. I honestly could not tell you what this man looks like. I couldn't pick him out in a line up and if he handles his outside life the way he handles his practice...well..maybe he belongs in a line up. The "Do No Harm" is not their motto as, if you are having a person who is not a physician giving you heavy duty, potentially harmful and dangerous drugs, you re uncaring to say the least. I quit going because of this.
Beware!!! Run for your life!!! This Doctor pushes prescription meds and infusions. He is paid hundreds of thousands of dollars from the big drug manufacturers. He does not consider side effects and your health. He does not warn about dangers of taking these drugs. He's out for the big bucks and does not care about what happens to the patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
