Glenn Gangi Md's Online Review Report Card

This was my first visit to Atlantic Urology and Dr. Gangi and I was very satisfied with the patience, kindness and professionalism of both the office staff and Dr. Gangi himself. I was treated respectfully and felt Dr. Gangi took the time and effort to be thorough and be sure I understood the information he provided regarding my health. I do want to also make note of one person in particular of the front office staff. Unfortunately I did not catch her name but she sits at the first check in window on the left. I noticed and overheard and extremely difficult and demanding patient who was taking out her frustrations on this young lady. She remained extremely calm, kind, compassionate, and did the best she could to diffuse the situation to avoid the patient from escalating her actions further. This is a person I would certainly want representing my office and/or practice.

Wait time at this office is the worst of any Doctor that I visit. When I just need to give blood the wait is often 30 minutes. When I have to see the Doctor the wait time is usually 1 hour or more even if the appointment is 8:10am as it was last week when he starts seeing patients at 8:00am. I have no issue with Dr. Gangi or his staff.

I have been a patient of DR. Gangi for 11 years and he has help me with a problem I never new I had. My Testosterone had been low for years and I was always tired. He order a blood screen and it showed I was way low. So he put me on shots and taught me the right way to use the testosterone. He also performed a operation on me that help me also. He is always profession and he will help you in any way possible. He has made a major difference in my life. I would recommend him to anyone who needs his medical help in his field. Ryan Logan

Two parts to my response. First, I find Dr Gangi to be an outstanding health care provider. Second part is a function of the explosive population growth in Myrtle Beach. At my last appointment I waited roughly 45 minutes for a 15 minute conversation with a PA. The waiting room was standing room only. As I am retired my time is generally flexible. But, that may not always be the cast.

As a senior, I generally receive a little extra attention, but Dr. Gangi and his staff go above and beyond. I am greeted with the warm smile of a lady with bells in her sweet voice. I have very little wait time, and I am escorted to the back “office ,” where I leave a sample. Within minutes, I am in discussion with Dr. Gangi concerning my sample results. Not only are Dr. Gangi and his staff efficient, they are concerned about my overall well-being. They are attentive, professional, and superior in their performance. I would not seek anyone else!

I have had some bad experiences with a Urologists so I know what should be done with a patient. Dr Gangi is wonderful. He greets you with a smile, answers all your questions and shows illustrations if needed. He’s never trying to run out of the room. He’s very knowledgeable and follows up on any problems your having. One more thing, his office staff are the best. All of them are such a pleasure if you need assistance with anything.

Gave me the WRONG lab results and have refused (to date over a month after my request) to provide a correct copy. Extremely dismissive front staff, and totally too concerned with packing the waiting room at the expense of providing quality care to patients. Rude!

Yes we had to wait but was well worth it. You are dealing with a competent, compassionate, experienced well educated Dr. With chairside manners. We jumped ship with Dr. Rich and went to Dr. Gangi because of his infinite knowledge and mannerism. Answers questions without attitude and arrogance. Highly recommend but remember you may have a wait time but thats Not his fault its scheduling's.

For the most part he is a good doctor. Billing department is very rude. Dare not question your bill, you'll be put in your place. If you have a procedure done, there is no such thing as a post-op you will still pay for an office visit. If complications arise from whatever procedure is done. Be prepared to pay for every visit. And if you're having trouble urinating after your procedure, may as well go to the emergency room don't look for any immediate help there. So you will wait in the waiting room. Learned a lot about pain and humility. I'll never be back!

The word appointment is meaningless here . I always have to wait in a room full of sick people more than a hour past my ( appointment ) time .
