List of Mcleod Health's Reviews
Very disappointed. Arrived by ambulanceSaw only tech and nurse upon check in. SpO2 alarmed at 8889 several times along with high blood pressure alarm and no one acknowledged. Had Xray was told I had Covid pneumonia was given prescriptions and literally walked to the exit door with them knowing I had no ride home. I was shown the door to the parking lot where I remained until my ride came 1520 minutes later. I’m certain this is recorded on their cameras. I am an insured individual with no underlying conditions but felt like I was treated like a second class citizen. They were not busy with other patients. I appreciate medical staff and front line workers but this is not excusable and will never recommend McLeod.
Not surprised to see some of these reviews. Was told to go to the ER by the VA because I was having withdrawal symptoms from a medication I was taking. I wasn’t there to get a prescription I was there to make sure my heart and my health was okay but the doctor came in and treated me like I was there as an addict. I didn’t even bring up getting a prescription the first words out of his mouth were “I can’t write you a prescription for this are you trying to pull a fast one on me” and I just looked at him in disbelief didn’t check me out didn’t make sure I was okay. He wrote me a prescription for 3 days and said “I’m doing this as a service I don’t have to do this” I called the VA nurse back and she couldn’t believe they turned me away and now I have to drive 2 and a half hours to the VA ER in Charlestown. Again like many have already said in the paperwork they gave me it told me to come back if I was having the symptoms that I was already there for in the first place. First time experience with civilian healthcare since I’ve been out can’t believe it’s this bad.
Front desk lady was very rude. Doctor was dismissive and irritated when trying to speak to him. Misdiagnosed my child so he wasn’t treated properly for his condition. Will never go back. Wish I would have gone to Grand Strand.
This chain of hospitals as a whole are awful. The only good thing about them is you dont have to wait long to be seen but will you get any answers from your doctor? No I saw a Dr not once but twice on two different occasions and he has the rudest bedside manner and doesnt listen to you when you try to explain anything. The nurses were nice but they couldnt discuss your information either. I found out information from my specialist when they forwarded ever to them. I will never go here again I would rather bleed out.
Dr. Harrah is outstanding. He is caring and down to earth. He went above and beyond the standard of care to help me this summer when other doctors could have cared less. I give him my highest recommendations. Thank you Dr. Harrah for truly caring about your patients.
Would be nice if I could call and get an actual response to how long the emergency room wait time is instead of getting a generic response that we’re not allowed to give out wait times like it is some kind of classified information.
After seeing some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant to go to this er. Im so glad I didnt listen to the negative ones.I went to the er on my dr advice and was greeted by a very nice staff at the front then was taken into a room very soon after. The nurses and Dr were very friendly as well as concerned about about what I had going on.I didnt feel blown off like alot of other places make you feel. Thank you to the staff at McLeod Health for taking care of me today.
I would give them a 0 if I could 🤬
Very compassionate understanding doctor. Very through.... best doctor ever.
I had gone to the ER for chest discomfort. After scan the doctor told me what was wrong. He then told me I had to be admitted . Since they dont have s hospital they dont have s hospital they called an transported me. Everyone was professional in the ER.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
