Robert Jansen Md's Online Review Report Card

I moved to Myrtle Beach in July of 2021 and needed to find a new Urology team to work with. I chose Dr. Jansen based on his profile. My initial visit started with a friendly front desk team that helped me get the paperwork done. I then engaged Dr. Jansen and his team - it was a very positive first impression. I look forward to building a long-term relationship with this team!

Dr. Jansen is very knowledgeable caring and listens to all my concerns, I never feel rushed and have never waited more than 10 minutes from my appointment time, I highly recommend him.

Dr. Jansen is a extremely effective practitioner in his field. He is empathetic, smart, and takes his time to answer all your questions. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Jansen is a very personable, low key guy. He takes his time with you and any questions you may have. He performed a Rezume procedure on me and I couldn't be happier. I went from spending my days making sure a restroom was nearby during my dog walks, waking up 4-5 times a night to go, always having to go during a movie, not drinking anything when driving long distances to minimize stops, and sometimes feeling like I was going to pee myself even after taking all the precautions I could. 4 months after the procedure has been a revelation. I no longer have to plan everything based on my enlarged prostate. I find myself getting more sleep, enjoying walks and most everything else as my control gets better and better. Few things are life changing, but getting the Rezume treatment from Dr. Jansen has been that. Also, the staff at the office and also top notch. Thanks Dr. Jansen

I've seen Dr. Jansen several times in the past few years for BPH problems. Although young, he knows what he's doing and I consider him to be very competent in his specialty.

Had a kidney stone and left me hanging to get lithotripsy for 2 months. Also suspected Renal Cell Carcinoma and did not want to do MRI to see if diagnosis was correct. Had to go to MUSC to get lithotripsy and partial nephrectomy to remove positive renal cell carcinoma. If I would have listened to him who knows how bad the cancer would have got and possibly spread. Don’t risk your life for maybe it is maybe it isn’t response.

Dr Jansen was amazing. I felt like he was very competent and really listened to my health concerns. The reason for the three stars is because his front office lady was very rude as where his nurses I have never been treated so poorly in my life

Easily the best urologist I've encountered. I trust him.

Dr. Jansen is young and that is actually a good thing. It means he won't retire soon and it means he'll keep up on research. His clinical skills are excellent. He takes time with his patients to understand their concerns and he does an outstanding job of conveying issues to the patient. I saw an outstanding urologist in NJ for 20 years before moving and Dr. Jansen is every bit as good as he was. His staff is outstanding as well.

Most of the time for a guy, going to the urologist doesn't mean anything good. It often involves pain and embarrassing conversation. I was quite surprised when Dr. Jansen entered my examination room and I realized this young, fresh off the graduation platform doctor and I were the same age. Being in my early 30s I panned the waiting room and realized I was probably the youngest patient in there as well. I was relieved to see my doctor was my same age. I talked with Dr. Jansen about my issue that was embarrassing for someone my age to be going through. His bedside manner is impeccable. Never once did I feel embarrassed and I was overwhelmed with how comfortable I was around this doctor. He came across as a concerned best friend. The thing I really love about this doctor is he didn't rust to give me a prescription to put a temporary band aid on my issue. He insisted on test to try and find the root of the problem and we did all those tests. Every time I saw this doctor I left quite pleased and happy. I can't say enough about this doctor. My only regret is that he is in a specialized field. I'd give my life's savings to have him as my family doctor.
