List of Barron Nason's Reviews
I was in the Prrry County ER last night and Dr. Nason was the ER MD on call! Oh my what a blessing! I went to the ER in Rapid Atrial Fibrillation and in no time Dr. Nason had me feeling better. He knew exactly what blood work to order, what X-ray to order, and what medicine I needed to reduce my heart rate down from 180 to 70. He was kind, fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and so respectful! He gave my husband and I comfort that I was going to get better. His smile was infectious and his bedside manner was very comforting. His discharge instructions were simple and I was able to understand them. He is truly a valuable asset to our small town rural hospital! Thank you so very much Dr. Nason for the wonderful care you gave me last night!
Was extremely kind and helpful. A very good man.
I recently visited the Nason Medical Center on Hwy.78 in North Charleston. I have been there numerous times before with my daughter and they were always prompt and courteous but this past time was just out of the oridinary. The place looked as if it was a ghost hospital people were not friendly at all the staff just acted as if they hate there job and aren't happy with being in the environment. My daughter was seen by a nurse practitioner instead of doctor which is not out of the normal but usually a doctor follows up after the practitioner but that never happened. The place was very uninviting and a really weird environment.
Cannot believe the negative reviews! I have been treated on emergency 3 times, 1- broken tibia, 2- broken vertebra 3- badly broken ankle (which I thought was a sprain) they called an specialist to have me seen right away. On all occasions I was treated very professionally and with correct diagnosis. I rank them a 10 on all fronts.
It was my first time at nason and I went there for a non-emergency... But urgent visit. I have a high deductable insurance plan and asked for a quote on the procedure prior to consent. I made it extremely clear that I thought it was important that pt's understand the expense of procedure when possible and that I would not proceed without this information. The physician spoke with the front desk and came back with a quote. I thought the price was fair and proceded with the procedure. I confirmed with them that this was the total cost..... Visit, procedure and everything. The only extra cost would be a lab culture that was off site (30ish dollars). Several weeks later I received a bill, which totaled 3 times the original quote. I called several times and never received a call back. Finally after getting a manager from billing on the phone...... She told me she would get back with me. No call for a week. I called back and she acted like she had never heard my story. After several more calls I eventually gave up and paid the bill. I'll never go back.
3 years ago I had to get stitches, I also got a tetanus shot at this location. Now I am applying for school and I need proof of a tetanus shot. I called here and spoke with 4 people, they cannot find any record of the shot being given to me. Although, they have record of charging me for it. I spoke with Denise regarding a refund, since it was their error and they cannot provide me with the proof I need. She told me she couldn't help me, but she would have her supervisor Jessica call me.... shockingly nobody has contacted me. So now I have to go get another tetanus shot, and I am not getting a refund, or even the bare minimum courtesy of a phone call back from this place. I do not recommend coming here, since they obviously cannot keep records or have any type of customer service.
I was out of the waiting room in 20 minutes and waited ina room for better than an hour. When it was all done, the PA told me that I had a virus and best of luck. Next day I was diagnosed with strep and treated appropriately. TV commercials really can't make up for mediocre care
Too concerned with collecting 10 dollars verses getting to my wife who was having chest pain, etc.!!!!!!!!!! You will only see a P.A. most of the time anyway. Didn't even see my wife only caused more stress that she did not need. Dr. Nason is great, but, since he cannot properly see what goes on at all of his facilities, faculty wise... could be his downfall. We found this to not live up to the promises he has made on his commercials. And.... really needs to be cautiozus as to the tempermant of those he hires as staff. She was not only rude but also threatening to my wife. Not somewhere, that I'd consider taking a family member to. As a matter of fact.... none of my extended family members have refused to return there as well. What's worse is that Barron Nason, himself, was left a message re this incident and did not even bother to follow up with us!!!!!!!!!
This is a great to go when you're really sick and you can't raise your primary care physician. They do x-rays and labs right there in minutes and Nason explained things clearly, plus sent me home with a CD that has my x=rays and all records on it. But the visit cost me $400+ out of pocket because United wouldn't cover it.
I have been to Dr. Nason's clinic several times and always felt I was in excellent hands. He addressed my illness/injury thoroughly, allayed my fears, and soon had me well and in good shape! He and his staff made me feel comfortable. I can't say enough about Dr. Nason and his staff. Outstanding.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
