Moved my 85 yr. old mom from NC into assisted living in Charleston after somewhat unsuccessful back surgery. I asked if Lowcountry Orthopedics would see her for crippling pain. I honestly felt hopeless for her but felt the need for a second opinion. Dr. Battista assessed Mom's condition and attempted several applications to relieve the pain. He then suggested a spinal cord stimulator. She is now on her way to a pain free recovery and a new look on life. I am so impressed with his determination to do everything possible for his patient, his professional knowledge, He has a gentle and uplifting manner. One does not leave his examining room without a smile and the feeling of upmost trust in he and his staff.

I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Battista. Starting with the workup through the postop period he was very attentive, patient, thorough, and personable. I had suffered severe pain and was found to have spondylolisthesis in my L5S1 lumbar spine. He presented all my options and I choice to have surgery. Pain was completely gone since day 1 post op. The staff at all appointments were wonderful too. I highly recommend anyone needing spine surgery to check him out too! I'm 100% satisfied with my outcome.

Dr. B. Done a great job with my lower back. The day after surgery I was up and walking with very little to no pain. I was really impressed. If you have back trouble go see him.

Gifted Spine Surgeon After years of back problems - met Dr Battista when we moved to SC. Both he and his Spine team is so caring and nice. Through minimally invasive robotic surgery he did an L4/5 spinal fusion and I was walking hours after. Only one night in the hospital and I was up to 3 miles walking by the end of the week. Life without pain - love it
