Dr Stem was really easy to work with. He realized immediately my anxiety over the issue with my artificial knee. He calmed my fears explained what was happening and gave me a course of action. I could not have asked for more. Having had the same orthopedic surgeon most of my life then moving here 4 1/2 yrs ago it was nerve racking starting all over at the age of 67. I’m positive I made the right choice now and I would recommend Dr Stem with no reservations. The support staff was also very good and reassuring. From Dr Stem to the person who greeted us all were respectful and pleasant.

Dr Stem performed a total right hip replacement. He is absolutely the most top notch orthopedist and I am truly blessed he accepted me as a patient. He is patient, answers all questions and concerns, never rushes you just takes his time to ensure you understand everything he does. He is absolutely fantastic and I am truly blessed to have him as my doctor. Actually he is a ten star not five.,.

Dr Stem focuses only on me at my visits & when I had surgery. I feel like I am his only patient. He is knowledgeable, helpful & always professional. He & his staff are always available when I need them. He is an excellent surgeon & Lowcountry Orthopedics is a wonderful medical practice. I highly recommend him!

I went in for my post op appointment.My knee was still hurting Dr.Stem checked it out and gave me an injection in my knee and two days later my knee felt amazing.Dr.Stem is an excellent doctor!! I won’t go anywhere else.He really cares about his patients.

After my first knee replacement, I was extremely happy with the results so I never considered any other surgeon when it was time for the second. Once I scheduled the surgery, his office took care of setting up all preliminary and post-surgical appointments required, including a joint replacement orientation to explain what to expect and to answer any questions.
