Not worth two hours driving to Charleston to see an out of network physician just to order you a lab work and after one year receive a second bill and realize you not only pay for the consult ($383) but also the facility fee under the title of “general classification clinic” ($120 for this one! I was billed for this one first!) Two claims for half an hour visit total around $500! Unbelievable how these hospitals make money. If you decided to see this physician and paying out of pocket or he is out of network for you, make sure to ask about the cost beforehand.

This doctor is super attentive, answers all your questions, calls you back immediately within the same day. He is on top of my daughter condition and helps with even my simplest questions.

While i understand they are busy, waiting 3 months for an answer, and 2 weeks for a medication change with no communication at all isnt the type of doctor i trust in the care of my kid. It should not be hard for one of many staff there to pick up the phone to call someone back. Making appointments and getting seen is a snap, aftercare, not so much. As for the doctor himself, he seems to be a great guy and knows his stuff, so im not sure he even knows about the aftercare problems

When we met him he was nice but that day they stuck my son a few times and no blood. However hospital already did labs that's why we were there. My biggest complaint is my child was seen in beginning of June and its now august and we still dont know what the treatment plan. Until i filed a complaint,there was no contact. After speaking with nurse, she claim not received labs but hospital confirmed and resent them while I was on phone with them..serious lack of communication. Don't seem to care.

Dr Paul is the doctor and the angel that God sent to take care of Scott (son) today he is 6 years old he was diagnosed with type diabetes with 10 months of age, almost coming to death with 1200 blood glucose, was when he was attended by Dr Paulo, who had the patience to talk with the family explaining and giving all the support we needed at this difficult time. Today Scott has controlled the glucose level is super healthy and is black belt in Karate. Thank you very much, Dr. Paulo.

Dr.Paulo has always given exceptional care for our daughter. He has taken the time to explain everything we needed to know in order to better care for her, and even came to see her while being treated during a holiday weekend. I've been impressed with quick responses by him no matter the time of day.
