We see Dr Sylvia Szentpetery for both of our daughters whom have Cystic Fibrosis. I am a nurse and have high standards to begin with, let alone for my children. She has a calm demeanor and gives you all the time you need with her to discuss all your concerns and needs. She has been through the thick and thin with us and has done so many extras (countless hours of work) to help our daughters; from publishing research articles, to authorizations for early drug access, to school notes/excuses, her advocacy is endless! She has NEVER told us ‘no’ to anything and always goes beyond the call of duty for our daughters and family. My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this lovely person. She’s truly a rare gem and she’s a doctor who is in her position for all the right reasons. It shines all over her, like an angel. We are SO blessed to have her on our team and we are thankful that God led us to her and the CF care team at MUSC. If you need a pediatric pulmonologist, there’s no one better than her!
