I have been going back and forth with the office in Bluffton, South Carolina for almost 3 weeks. I have severe hives and I’ve had them every day for almost 3 weeks. I have a copay program from the manufacturer that along with my insurance usually allows me to get my shot. I have been denied, told that my file was going to be canceled as a new patient, and given different information every time I call. I’m a travel nurse . I have my own allergist in Dallas, Texas. Usually when I travel it’s not this hard for me to be seen and treated at other facilities. I called today and asked to speak to a clinical manager or supervisor. I didn’t get anywhere with that. I was told that my number would be taken for a call back .Although I’m not a patient, it’s hard to consider being one when you are dealing with people that will not go an inch above their norm to assist you. I’m also in healthcare and I constantly advocate for my patients. I’ve been having to go to work itchy with hives daily. This is very hard and can be debilitating. So if you’re in need of assistance this is not the facility for you. They show you that before you’re actually a patient. I was never even offered any alternatives.
