Dr. DeCastro is the best doctor I have ever had. Hands down. She really takes the time to address any and all concerns you may have and in a manner that is professional, personable, and easy to understand. She is one of the rare "good ones" out there in a modern healthcare landscape which is often ugly and grey. Highly recommend!

Dr. Justine DeCastro is without a doubt the best primary care physician I have ever had. I do not know where I would be without her! She was willing to look beyond a list of symptoms when she first saw me almost five years ago. Because she was willing to think outside the box, look at things from every angle, and not throw a prescription at the most obvious symptom, she gave me my life back. She has an AMAZING network of physicians for specialty referrals and is not afraid to call on them. Call Palmetto Proactive and Dr. DeCastro. She will take the time to listen to you and do whatever she can so you get the care that is right for you. I believe in her so much that both of my adult children see her too, and they adore her. Dr. DeCastro truly cares for her patients!

Dr. DeCastro is an amazing physician! She has always treated me with compassion and takes the time to really treat me individually. She's passionate about helping others live their healthiest life. I cannot say enough good things about her and the work she does.

Dr. Justine DeCastro is the most empathetic, focused, and skilled doctor I have ever experienced. Even having said that, the three things I adore about her, and that have made me a patient for life, is how observant, investigative, and ethical she is. I marvel at how analytical and vigilant she is even after office hours. It would not be unusual for Dr. DeCastro to call you after hours or on the weekend about your healthcare and say "I've been thinking..." She is gracious and funny and absolutely trustworthy. I trust her with my life.

Love Dr. DeCastro! And I hate writing reviews so you can take it to the bank when I say PP Charleston is a great place to get quality care at an affordable price. Direct primary care is the best option for anyone who needs prompt 1-on-1 primary care at an affordable price. I have a job that requires me to travel all over and I am home for short periods of time. I need to fit my doctor visits into that tiny time slot. I also plan on reducing my insurance costs, because I only got the more expensive insurance because it reduced my doctor visit co-pays. With direct primary care I dont have to pay through the nose every time i visit the doctor without great insurance.All in all great business and good people.

I was impressed no with Dr. DeCastro’s obvious professionalism and medical knowledge but with her “bed-side” manner as well. She is outgoing, affable and clearly interested in her patients’ well-being. And in my case, she was able to recognize something wasn’t quite right and ordered some immediate tests at East Cooper. Upon getting the results she had me report to the MUSC ER immediately. Eight days later, my particular combination of three separate medical issues were resolved and it might not have been so successfully concluded without Dr. DeCastro’s diagnostician’s eye. My wife and I both agree, there is no better GP in Charleston!

Dr DeCastro is fantastic. She really listens to my concerns. She spent a good amount of time answering my questions. De Castro discussed several treatment options and provided education on what screening tests would be needed.

Absolute breath of fresh air, a doctor who actually cares and takes her time with you. This program Dr. DeCastro is developing here in Charleston is different and VERY WORTH it. Great value AND you'll see right off the bat its not an insurance interrogation but a true Dr patient relationship.You'll see...

I love Dr. DeCastro! I was referred to her several years ago after an injury. Her personal style care and attention made me feel like I not only had a medical professional treating me, but also a friend who cares. That’s rare these days when we are pumped through doctors who barely have time to get to the right diagnosis, let alone treat people like they are human. She’s one of the few but should be the precedence for ALL medical professionals.

Absolutely the best primary physician I’ve had. She is amazing. She listens and spends time with her patients. You can tell she is genuinely concerned about your overall health and goes over and beyond to get you to a healthy point in your care.
