List of Christian EUGEN Magura's Reviews
Dr. Magura is very personable. My operation went very well.
Dr. Magura is the best in his field, knowledgeable, caring and takes time to explain what is happening with your condition. He truly cares!!
A major issue with a prescription Dr. Magura had written and my pharmacy’s attempt to clarify it lead to me speaking with Dr. Magura’s nurse. In the conversation she continued to cut me off saying "I don't know what you want, but I can't be on the phone with you all day and I've got 10 other people to call." She even threatened to have my prescription changed again. To avoid further escalation I just hung up on her. Yesterday I got a letter sent through certified mail notifying me that Dr. Magura was terminating our client/provider relationship. Over me hanging up on his rude nurse and not even getting another side? Something is weird about this and makes me wonder what she said happened. I’m flabbergasted! When I called to talk with the office manager to let her know my experience and that I would have my records forwarded once I found another provider, I could never get her on the phone. I did leave a voicemail but didn't get a call back whatsoever.
Just recently became reestablished with a urologist after delivery my son; I stopped my meds during my pregnancy. I saw Dr. Magura who recommended a Valium suppository for the pelvic spasms I'd been having related to my IC. He said that he had one other client on it and was unsure of the dosage so I sat in the clinic for 30 extra minutes waiting while his nurse tried to decide what mg to write me. He finally decided on 2mg and handed me a hard copy script, saying that every time I needed a refill I'd have to come in and get a hard copy because it is a controlled. When I get to the pharmacy I found out that the prescription cannot be filled because no mg was written in it, nor was a frequency or amount. I'm starting to worry because he's just told me I have to get this as a hard copy and I've just drove an hour from getting it, but the pharmacist assured me that it can be called in, not a drug class that would prohibit the doctor from being able to call it in. They did however tell me that the prescription will have to be forwarded to a compounding pharmacy where it would be made and then I would have to drive an hour in the opposite direction to pick it up. (This was all happening on a Friday and couldn't be addressed until the following Monday because their office is already closed). Monday I speak to the compounding pharmacy that the prescription was forwarded to the pharmacist tells me that no matter the milligram the price will still be $65-70 because my insurance simply will not cover it. Another barrier. Well I finally talk to Dr. Magura's Nurse again on the phone she informs me that he has decided that he is not going to do 2 mg he's going to change it to the 1 mg; he feels that starting low and going higher gradually is best. I'm okay with this, understand and agree. I'm actually a BSN graduate and work as a nurse myself, but I'm not sure if they know that because the nurse would not let me get a word in in the conversation. I tried to explain that I couldn't afford to pay $70 this week and then in 2 weeks turn around and pay it again for 2mg if we decided to go up in mg. The nurse that I was on the phone with basically told me in so many words that there wasn't anything that she can do, it wasn't her problem, and that if I couldn't afford them that I should just split them in half (to equal 0.5?) Wouldn't it have been more logical to write 2 mg and split that in half to equal to 1 mg and then that would have given me two month supply for only $70? Then if he increased the dosage I wouldn't have to refill anything? Basically I'm asking this lady to help save me money, all the while she is refusing to let me get a word in. She then threatens to call my pharmacy and have my dosage decreased further like I'm some crackhead drug seeker. What am I going to do with a Valium suppository to get a high? It's literally only going to affect the place I put it. The nurse keeps cutting me off saying "I don't know what you want, but I can't be on the phone with you all day and I've got 10 other people to call." I was so angry that when she said this I decided that if I couldn't get a word in, she shouldn't either so I hung up on her. I went to Dr Magura for a kidney issue. He was very knowledgeable and informative with my issues. He went above and beyond to ensure that all my questions were answered and even asked me questions to make certain that I was getting the proper care for my symptoms. He is by far the nicest and most professional Dr. I have experienced in a long time. I highly recommend him and will continue to go to him.
I have contenous leakage, it is very annoying and I stay irrated all the time. Have to use medicine to keep irrational away. This is very expensive. Can you give a suggestion as what else I might do. HELP...
Fantastic urologist and such a great guy. The vasectomy went smoothly and I didn’t even feel a thing! Highly recommend him to anyone.
I have been a patient of Doctor Magura for several years. He is not only a very competent doctor but his bedside manner immediately makes you feel at ease.
I went to Dr. Maura for a vasectomy. After injecting the lidocaine, he did not wait or test to see that the anesthetic had worked. The result was a painful procedure where I could feel him cutting and working for the first several minutes until the anesthetic took effect. I have talked with several friends who have had this procedure, and none of them had a similar experience. I would not recommend Dr. Magura to anyone for this procedure.
I have been a patient with Dr. Magura for about a year. I believe he is a good physician, but he has a poor bedside manner. During my most recent visit, he was rude to both me and one of his staff members. When I asked questions or wanted to know why he was recommending something, he was very short with his answers and acted like I was bothering him by asking for an explanation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
