Great experience! All staff was wonderful and very helpful.

There are a couple of problems with this place. First, I made my appointment for 10:20 am because I had another appointment at 12:45 abs washed to ensure that I got out of there with time enough to get to my next appointment. I sat there in the waiting room until 11:00 am before they called me in which brings me to the second problem. There's not one sign or notice nor did anyone say anything on the phone with me when I made the appointment that they enforce masks. It's the end of June 2022 and this place is still obsessing over masks. At 11:00 I'm led into the first office where I was asked if I had a mask. I answered "no". The large lady who led me in then ran out and came back with a paper surgical mask and said "put this on" to which I replied "no thank you". She then said "then you can't be in here" and ushered me right out of the door. No questions asked, no dialog, she then vanished. I walked up to the front reception and requested my paperwork back since I was denied service. He said he couldn't do that and had to get the office manager who also said she couldn't do that and had to get someone else. Then someone who I assume was the eye doctor (a black man wearing a tiedye shirt) and no indication that he was a doctor, told me that the paperwork was theirs abs didn't belong to me, it belonged to them. I informed him that my name and information is on that paperwork and I no longer give my permission or authorization to be in possession of it. He said the best he could was put it in the shred bin. I told him that I'll wait and watch as he does it. He then put my paperwork in the bin which can be opened and the papers retrieved later. It's just a holding cabinet and the contents get shredded later. I do not trust this office to not charge my insurance company for a service i did not receive or missed appointment that was clearly their fault. Stay away from this place.

I won't ever be back here. I don't trust doctors who don't follow the science. I scheduled an appointment last week, go in today, and they require masks. It's June 23rd, 2022 - who is doing this anymore? And with all the research we have on the ineffectiveness and downright health problems they create?? I feel sorry for this staff - they should all say they will stop working if this is required any further. Whoever runs this office clearly doesn't pay attention to science. Nor do they care about our medical rights - they can't require a mask. The least they could do is tell me on the phone when I call to make the appointment so I don't waste my time. Very unprofessional.

Optometrist was great this review process should be broken into 2 separate groups seams like there are separate businesses. Picking glasses was not enjoyable at all. My first pair and she couldn’t get off her #$& to help no explanation of how different lenses work, all she wanted to do is sell as many add on as possible. 1 star. If I could give negative stars I would. Second time going in to pick up this other person was helpful.

Worst place ever. I didnt need a prescription for seeing glasses, so he gave me magnifiers instead. However, he also didnt explain that there was no prescription and proceeded to chargd me over 200.00 dollars to obtain them. I found out when I came in for a tightening of my glasses, and asked the current manager for my prescription; and was told there isnt one, just a magifier. How greedy you are Blackwell!!

The doctor was extremely over there and insisting onb doing a test for Glaucoma, when I told him I had just went to opthalmologist the day before. Overcharged my insurance company, extremely high on glasses and I will never go back to him again.

This place SUCKS!!! I made an appointment for my 17 year old daughter for 11:15, we arrived on time and left at 1:30 and she still was not done and we were told they were sorry they were so busy but we would have to come back to get the other test she needed on another day BUT they couldn’t get her in before school start AND they couldn’t get her in at a time before school or after school!!! I will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone!!! Such a joke!

Dr. Blackwell is the best! Caring, compassionate and thorough.

My mother law received her glasses and one lens is super thick and one lense is the special more expensive poly lenses.. she was supposed to have 2 of the same size lenses and the lady said only 1 was ordered , now why would we order 1 thick and 1 thin? We do not want her to be dizzy all the time. She tried to tell them it was wrong but no one could help her. This is no acceptable! This should have been handled and reordered and at least an apology but no she was sent out the door.

I have been going to Blackwell Eye Associates for probably over four years now and I really like it. I like the office and the doctors. I have no problems with them, they all do a great job for me and I am very satisfied. I have even purchased glasses as well from them and I love the three pairs I have bought.
