Dr. Cowan dropped everything to release a nerve trapped during an episode of an L-4/L-5 disc spasms. Not only did he resolve my fierce pain, he found the cause. This emergent procedure allowed me to keep bowel and bladder control. Within the year following, still under his watchful eye, Dr. Cowen recommended a spinal fusion. That was almost 7 years ago. Nothing but great things to say about Dr Cowan. He is very pleasant to interact with and the results speak for themself. I have been pain free after years of horrible pain. Listen to him. He will listen to you.

Dr. Cowan has performed 3 back surgerys and 1 neck surgery and will end up having to have a neck fusion on me. I have spent a lot of time with Dr. Cowan so I hands down recommend him for any spinal issues you are having. He is the best!

I don't even like Doctors, but he is more then a doctor he is a very caring person. went to him with a bulge disc and instead of surgery he sent me to pt where they are trying to avoid surgery. in my book he is the best. Thank you Dr. Cowen

Be very careful of this little man. He may not have your best interests at heart. If he's nice to you, it may only be because he considers you a viable surgical candidate. Based on my experience with him, I wouldn't trust his skill to operate on my hamster.

I had to wait 1 1/2 hours after my appointment time. He spent about 3 - 4 minutes with me and just by the conversation, I realized that he had not thoroughly reviewed my records that were faxed to him 3 weeks earlier.
