Best experience I had in an E.D. in YEARS. The staff was friendly and attentive. I felt like I mattered! Nurse Leah was so kind and Dr. Clark was very patient! Thank y'all!
Fire hazard?
Sat in the ER for 2 hours PREGNANT without being seen by any doctor. Watched others come into the ER and be seen before I was ever seen. I went to ask about being seen and was told to just wait until a doctors called me and now I’m going on hour 3 AND STILL HAVENT BEEN SEEN !
Excellent be service for such a poorly staffed department. Just think what they could accomplish with a state of the art facility
Do not use Prisma Health!! I visited the ER (general admissions were closed due to it being a Sunday and COVID I believe) in August 2021 for an ankle injury from motocross. I was registered and taken back for X-Rays about 30-45 minutes after arriving. The ER was fairly busy that day. After the X-Rays, I sat in the ER waiting room in a wheelchair for almost 3 hours... When I was finally seen by a Doctor, I was given the good news that it was only a really bad sprain and wasn't broken. Only reason I went to the hospital to get my ankle checked is because I had a prior surgery done on that ankle with a plate and some screws and wanted to make sure I didn't mess anything up. Doctor told me the usual R.I.C.E method and just to keep it easy until the swelling goes down and I can start walking freely again. Things I already knew about sprained ankles. When my claims were finally processed, I got 4 bills totaling over $3500!!!. Thankfully, insurance is covering roughly half but I still have to pay over $1800 for X-Rays of a sprained ankle??!?!? The Doctor didn't even put a cast or wrap my ankle in a brace/compression wrap as I already had it wrapped prior to entering. This is unreal and I will definitely be appealing it. DO NOT USE PRISMA. I wish I went somewhere else but it was a Sunday and most urgent cares around me were closed.
I had a difficult time passing a kidney stone last week. Stayed 5 days at Oconee hospital and I had excellent care. Dr. Fabry / Dr. McAlpine , nurses, the entire staff gave me excellent care! As I saw the emergency rooms filled to capacity and staff racing to comfort others who were having medical difficulties during this time ; I said a pray right then for the entire staff . I difficultly recommend Oconee Memorial Hospital . These people CARE about you!
You cant call ANY facility associated with Prisma Health after hours and speak to the dr on call bc the answering service never picks up and the hospitals representatives don't either. It's ridiculous
Went in for an echocardiogram and had Amy as my tech. She was so sweet! She explained everything that we were doing and made me feel so comfortable
My father, a WW 2 veteran , was seen in the emergency room and was a patient in the hospital for a week. My father and our family are thankful for the positive experience we all had. Doctors, nurses and all staff treated my dad with the utmost respect and the level of care was excellent. I stayed with him as much as possible, but when unable to be there, nursing staff, nursing students, and other employees checked in on him, gave him encouraging words, and even sat with him when he said he was bored. Oconee Memorial has been a blessing to our family and we are thankful to have such a facility available to us. Kudos and thank you to everyone who helped make my dad’s stay much less stressful than it could have been during a pandemic! We appreciate all of you.
When I say I don't want a child who is not an actual doctor to take care of me I mean it. There should be a piece of paper that will allow you to refuse to have a child student take care of you with the attached pictures below you will see how the fake doctor that I got did not ask any medical history considered me a liar ahead of time because he couldn't find records because he didn't ask me who my primary care physician was to figure out how to get them not only that he didn't ask me any medical history. He supposedly read my CT scan within one minute after having done which is not even possible this child is a resident for ultrasound technician however he supposedly reading my CAT scans no. I'm going to be contacting my lawyer to sue because I did have a life-threatening illness and my blood pressure was high enough I could have died when I left there so as far as them putting in the paperwork that you're not going to die the minute to leave that we couldn't find anything that could have caused infection you didn't look for infection you gave me blood work that you supposedly got back within 7 minutes not possible with an elevated white blood cell count elevated hemoglobin my neutrophils were 8.96 my mpv was 8.7 which is LOW and my ENOSINOPHILS were low at 0.03. And the co2 in my blood was 27 so with the max of being considered deadly 30 you would think that they would have taken something seriously. But I was told directly Face to Face by this fake doctor that everything was fine when I questioned about the fact of potential infection and potential cancers I was told that that was something a primary care physician should do that ER don't do that. Well they also turned away a gunshot victim while I was sitting there so I don't know what an ER it is if it's not for emergency medicine. I am from Indiana where like the TV show Grey's Anatomy or Chicago Med how they run their ER that's how ours is actually everyone. Oconee is more of a med check because they will tell you everything they can't do and won't tell you what they can do so you don't waste your time there. They're more likely to consider you a hypochondriac before they even know anything about you just because they profile people especially people on Medicaid. So if Oconee doesn't contact me their self and fix the issue and when I say I have social media videos out there of showing how much these supposed ER doctors did not do their jobs I mean I have documentation of everything I don't want a child who is in residency for freaking doing alter sounds trying to read my cat scan which I know they didn't read because it said everything was normal nothing was shown however I had magnetic eyelashes on which would have showed up as a shadow I also have dermals in my eyes on the side of them which would it show does Shadow of metal it said there was no Shadows there was nothing wrong with the CT so that one big reason I know they didn't freaking read it 2 they didn't care about my labs. And when I went to my family doctor the next day I was almost septic so don't go to Oconee unless you want to be sent home on your deathbed because they don't give a crap about you or you die in the parking lot cuz they discharged you and you had something wrong because they refused to check because it's not their job as it will tell you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
