Great doctor very understanding

Dr. Shields is the expert in spinal cord surgery. He saved me from being paralyzed when I was thrown from my horse. From my initial meeting with him in the hospital to the office visits, Dr. Shields was informative, caring, & precise in handling my serious spinal cord injury. Because of him I’m back leading a normal life (with lots of hardware in my neck 😊) & feel great.

He doesn't deserve a starr at all. I have never met a medical professional as rude as he was, he told me my dying grandmother wasn't worth performing surgery on. When she was dying he had very rude bed side banner. Only was answering our questions with 2 or 3 word answers. Refused to do another surgery on her.

If you love your loved ones do not leave them in this man’s care. He had my family members diagnosis completely wrong and told us there was no point in treating her and we fought him on it and she came out after surgery for months better without any complications. He had no care about her life in the slightest. On top of that we have over heard him saying he just wants to hurry up and leave for the Christmas holiday and not deal with her anymore. She is dying and he has absolutely no remorse of care to help because he would rather be on vacation. No sympathy was shown to us as a family he was shrugging his shoulders as he told us there’s not anything else he will do for her. Dave your time and find yourself a surgeon who will actually help because all he wants is your money he doesn’t care about his patients.

Very thorough removing my tumor. Explained everything to me and my wife. As good as an experience can be in tumor removal.

Great doctor, got in they took x-rays, looked over my MRI and NCV results. Doctor came in and went over what and why I'm having pain and issues, then we went over the different options and risks and drawbacks of each. I was in the office for a while but I also had x-rays, appt with the doctor, blood work, and set up for me to get the treatment I need, now I'm all ready for the next step.
