List of David Castellone's Reviews
Only spoke to everyone over the phone but staff was very friendly. The doctor scheduled a virtual consultation with me it just really seemed like she cared about what was going on with me. I received all of my phone calls back like they said I would I was already scheduled a follow up appointment. I just moved here and I’ve already found my pcp 😊
Extremely knowledgeable professional with an exceptional bedside manner. I have been a patient for 25+ years and would not consider going anywhere else.
My Husband and I have been going to Dr Castellone for 14 years. He is a caring and knowledgeable Doctor. We are well pleased with him and his office staff.
Was a very good doctor
I visited this office for the first time back in May for a routine visit plus some minor stomach issues. DR castellone was very nice and everything went well. He said he wanted to run some routine blood work. I got out to the lab and they took my blood. Then wanted to take urine sample. So I did that as well. Then they handed me a bag to take home to bring back three different stool samples. I mentioned to the nurse that the doctor hadn’t said anything to me about urine or stool samples but she insisted that he ordered the tests and they needed to be done. I have never had anything like this done before but I didn’t think much of it. Fast forward a month and I get a bill from LabCorp for $880 and then another a few weeks later for another $82. And THEN another bill from the doctors office for $94. Almost $1200 total in bills from these tests that were run and this doesn’t include the portion my insurance covered. And almost $900 of the bills were from the stool samples alone. The same stool samples I was never even told needed to be done and had I known it would cost me this much I never would have agreed to it unless something in my blood work came back weird. I called the billing department back in early September to plead my case and they told me a supervisor would call me the following day to see what could be done. The woman I spoke to said that from what she could see no stool tests were ever requested for me. And there was no breakdown of what they even tested for. A week went by with no call so I called them back several times over a few days no one answered so I left a message each time. No return call ever came. So I called the office and was transferred to the office manager. Plead my case to her and she agreed that the stool tests seemed unnecessary especially if the doctor never said anything about them. She said she would consult with dr castelone and call me back. A week went by with no call so I called back. They told me no manager was available but that one would call me back ASAP. It’s been over a week now and still no one has contacted me. Absolutely unprofessional that they are giving me the run around because they know they made a mistake. A mistake that I’m now $1200 in the hole for. Don’t visit this office unless you want to be given the same treatment as I have. Absolute insanity.
Excellent staff and service
Dr. Castellone makes you feel better once he walks into the room. He listens to you and offers conservative care that works. Highly recommended
The people are very friendly
Your office has done nothing but show unprofessionalism this week.
Palmetto Primary Care Summerville office is simply outstanding Whether it’s a routine physical lab work or treatment for an illness the physicians and staff are extremely capable caring and professional. I have been a patient of this practice for twenty years. They are the best

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
