I love how Dr. Mahr listen. Take care of you fast. I know he listen even though it seems like he doesn't hear what we've said. But he's been my doctor for years and I love him.

The Dr fast talks u and this is the second time they haven't called my medicine in so now I'm sick for the weekend due to laziness. I had to pay for another visit jus to get results from last visit. New doctor search

I have been going to Dr. Mahr for over 3 years. His staff is excellent and he is a stellar physician!

Would never recommend him. Just faces his computer during the visit except when he checks your heart. After almost 3 months of treatment for an illness I asked what do I have? His response was "I don't know" & then left the room. Staff does not return phone calls either.

This was my first appointment and will be my last. I was scheduled for 9:30 and showed up at 9 knowing I would have to fill out new client paperwork. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. I even got in to the back on time if not a few minutes early. When I got into the room and Dr. Mahr can in, he grabbed my had and liked to broke it when introducing himself. Then when I told him why I was here (yearly blood work ) he said that he was only going to do what was on the paperwork that I brought in because my insurance would charge me. For one my insurance does cover a yearly physical blood work second the cost is none of his business when I have paid my copayment. Dr. Mahr was very short, rude, and does not care about his customers just the in and out services. I had other things that I wanted to discuss but he made me feel as though I was wasting his time. He does not listen to you or care what is going on. They would not even call in my prescription. They told me they don’t

Don’t support Dr Mahr find someone that cares about you and what you are dealing with.

The WORST experience I have ever had in any physician's office! The nurse tech could not take my blood pressure due to her lack of experience. Then, after 62 minutes of waiting in a room in the back, a nurse finally came in (to restock the cabinets) and said no one knew I was in there. When Dr. Mahr finally came in he said "We forgot about you, sorry" and would not simply refill my prescription (non-controlled substance) which was the entire reason for my appointment. A necessary medicine I have been on for 11 years gets denied, 2 hours of waiting for absolutely nothing, and the inexperienced staff make for a horrible experience. I guess I'll now have to take another day off of work to find a different physician.

Until this incident, I'd only good things to say about Dr. Mahr. I went in Friday before last with an abcess on my cheek, especially concerned because I'd been possibly exposed to MRSA. He looked at it, ordered a tetanus shot, and put me on a strong antibiotic. I thought good enough and was ok with that. Over the weekend, the antibiotic made me severely nauseous, but I persisted in taking it because the abcess was severe. I called his office first thing the following Monday morning, explained the situation and requested a call in to pharmacy for something to quell the nausea or possibly another antibiotic. This turned into an all day event, which culminated in Dr. Mahr denying/refusing my request and demanding I schedule another appointment. I did not receive good care that day and was subsequently treated much as a second class citizen when I made my request the following Monday. I phoned a nurse hotline and the nurse I spoke with told me she was amazed there was no culture done on the spot at the time of my visit. I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Mahr.

He is the ‘behavioral physician’ for my eldest son who is 9 and struggles tremendously in school. Since switching to him, he has excelled; mainly due to the fact that this physician actually listens to the patient and sincerely takes the family/patients concerns and ideas serious when determining a diagnosis/treatment plan. Also kind and patient which is a huge positive !

Went to Dr, about two weeks ago; told him I had ruptured a disc and needed a referral to Pee Dee Orthopedic center in Florence SC. Wanted to schedule me for MRI. I told him that I thought they would do it when I got there. He got mad and said that he was not going to do anything for me. Took over a week to get the referral sent. Called them this morning to see if they got it, and the scheduled me immediately due to the severity of my problem.
