Ike Stewart's Online Review Report Card

I took my mother to dr. stewart and for some reason we keep getting prescriptions for durable medical equipment but we can't fill the prescription because it needs further documents by Dr. Stewart. This is a problem it would make it so much easier on the patient if the staff just sent the order i mean there going to have to send the stuff anyway. And every time we call these durable medical equipment ...

Dr Stewart is very professional, caring and appears to have a full schedule. I have left this group practice due to total inefficiency by staff. Two specialist referrals were never made, prescription refill never submitted, request for ancillary test not provided and zero phone calls returned by staff. I do not know if staff is overwhelmed or irresponsible. Whatever the reason, I was not comfortable enough to tolerate the behaviour any longer. I would give Dr Stewart a "5" and staff a "-0".

I have never personally met Dr. Stewart, but not for lack of trying. He is the supervising physician for the nurse practitioner that I see. When trying to request a consult either via phone or in person to discuss his reasons for not being willing to sign off on my continued prescription for clonazepam he had the nurse practitioner call me back instead and say that I would need to have a referral to psychiatry for future prescriptions. I feel that his unwillingness to meet with me and hear me out and explain himself and his decision to me in person was very unprofessional and unfortunate. As a person and a patient who has had extremely good results with my current medications as they are I feel as though my personal health history and experiences with this medication were not taken into account. It is my hope that not all physicians choose to take this approach when they have a difference of opinion or philosophy of medication but would be willing to sit down and have a discussion with the person whose quality of life is affected by his (the physician’s choices). It’s a simple matter of courtesy and treating others the way you would like to be treated.

HORRIBLE WENT TO BE SEEN IN JULY STILL WAITING FOR RESULTS AND AUGUST IS ALMOST OUT. THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK NEEDS A NEW PROFESSION BECAUSE PEOPLE SKILLS IS NOT HER CLAIM TO FAME. SHE WAS RUDE AND VERY VERY NASTY!!!! FIND ANOTHER OFFICE IF YOU CAN.

Dr. Stewart is a physician who truly cares about his patients. He takes time to listen to his patients during each visit. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a family physician in Sumter.

Dr. Ike Stewart has a very polite demeanor as my provider and as a person. I have referred several family members, as well as, friends to his office on the corner of Wesmark in Sumter, SC. He has been very straight forward about my health and if necessary will get me to the right place for any of my problems. God knows exactly what gifts to in store within us all and God truly gave Dr. Stewart compassion and the knowledge to do what he loves on a daily basis. Thanks Dr. Stewart. You Rock.

10 year patient of Dr Stewart. The woman at the front desk is very mean. I have severe depression & anxiety & I have been on med through him that helps. I am now close to being out of my pills. I stopped in to request pills or an appt. He is so booked that it will be a month before I can see him. I asked for the emergency one more month of pills to get me through until I can see him. He denied me. I don't see why a doc would want a patient off meds but they dont care. l'll see if make it.

He is a very caring Doctor. Always a smile and concern for your health. ??

I personally like the doctor patient relationship with Dr.Stewart. He really cares about me and asks questions that I did not think of. His bedside manner is impeccable.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Stewart to my friends. My whole family goes to Colonial. We love everything about it. Keep up the great work!
