The worst doctor ever! He nearly killed my mother. He gave her Go-lightly when she had a 100% intestinal blockage. Her intestines exploded so severely it shredded her spleen. After he finally operated, 8 hours after she blew apart, he left the hospital without even speaking to the family. When I spoke to him on the phone he cruelly told me my mother will die, if she lives she will be a vegetable. Well, after 2 1/2 months in ICU, over 4 months in hospital and another month in a rehab hospital my mother recovered. No thanks to Dr. Allen. He was wrong, she lived. My mother is still alive yet suffers daily from the damage that was done. Dr. Allen blew her apart in 1998. I guess he was wrong, she is not a vegetable and has lived to see a grandchild born and a great-grandchild born. The pain he caused our whole family was extreme. All he cared about was avoiding a lawsuit. Avoid this doctor at all costs!

Arguably the kindest, most caring doc I have ever been to plus he is a great surgeon. In and out with NO complications and minimal recovery. Hats off to the staff also who bent over backwards to reschedule my procedure after an insurance snafu.
