Dismissive & unprofessional nurse team too Normally I see Dr. Orson Ravenell for as my OB/GYN doctor but he was fully booked and could not put me in until my 12 week visit. Because I didn't want to miss my 10 week visit, I settled with Dr. Koehler. Several things have went wrong with him & his team. 1. He did not provide an option or an explanation as to why he performed breast exams without gloves. 2. He was dismissive about requesting Zika be added to the blood work. The lab technician confirmed it was not added then I asked the nurse, who added it after the fact, which resulted in blood being drawn twice. 3. I was told that the MaterniT-21 genetic test should be covered if you’re over 35, but that a prior authorization couldn’t be done. And there was little time for me to call my insurance to confirm and if I didn't want it, I'd have to let them know right now to remove it. Today I call my insurance, who confirmed that it is covered 80% with a prior authorization. I felt pressured to make a snap decision.

Doc was great!!! He made my decision to have a hysterectomy easy. I came out of surgery with little pain and knowing that I made the best choice! Keohler is a great surgeon/OB/Gyn!

I had a positive visit with Dr. Koehler. He's a really calm physician who doesn't come off as being arrogant or intimidating. I was able to discuss my health concerns without feeling rushed for his next appointment. Dr. Koehler listened to my concerns, addressed any questions I had, and gave me a treatment plan that I understood with no issues. Yes I would recommend Dr. Koehler.

He almost killed my wife left her fighting for her life for 5 months on a ventilator he showed absolutely no remorse for his actions all so he could go on vacation a little earlier 11 surgeries she had to endure in those 5 months and is now disabled left a broken version of her former self he is the worst doctor ever a real POS

Met Dr. Koehler today for the 1st time. I was quite anxious. He put me at ease and explained everything clearly. Dr Koehler showed compassion and concern. He is excellent . His staff was wonderful, as well. I will gladly go to my follow up appt.

I have moved to Cary during my pregnancy. We picked an apartment near by based on a friends recommendation for WakeMed Cary Hospital. However, my experience with Dr. Koehler was really bad. As a result, I have decided to go to UNC Chaple Hill even though its farther. During my appointment with him he barley had any eye contact with me. His overall response to my questions where "ask the Midwifes" as if his too good to answer my questions. I am glad now that I have changed my doctor.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL GYN. DURING MY VERY FIRST VISIT WITH HIM, HE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM. WITHIN A WEEK, HE PERFORMED THE NECESSARY SURGERY & MY F/U's WITH HIM WERE WONDERFUL BUT UNFORTUNATELY, HE RELOCATED OUT OF STATE. WELL, I KNOW ONE THING FOR SURE, HIS NEW PATIENTS WILL JUST LOVE HIM AS MUCH AS I DID. WHAT A PROFESSIONAL!
