List of Lexington Medical Center's Reviews
Awful awful awful patient service and care. I had to call no less then 10 times to hear about a test result and got hung up on without the ability to ask followup questions. So I was forced to schedule an inperson appointment to be able to talk through my results and next steps just to get hit with a large fee for doing so. I still cannot view my results from that test online and I have no clue what I really should be doing. Having to deal with Lexington Medical makes me no longer want to go to the doctors if I have issues instead I will take the risk as they told me after shrugging their shoulders... If you are in need of medical attention in Columbia please go to Prisma Health I have never been but they cannot be as bad as Lexington Medical and do not deal with these guys...
If I could give this no stars I would. Staff is uneducated and attempted to give me medication that was for another patient. To say they were rude is a huge understatement. They completely ignored my boyfriend and made racial remarks because of the color of his skin and would not allow him in the room with me despite no restrictions. I have a service dog for cardiac conditions in which they refused to allow in despite the certification I showed them. Harlen Was the nurse and couldnt even pronounce let alone even knew what the medication was for. She was so consumed with herself that she lacked any ability to care. None of the nurses washed their hands nor used alcohol swabs when cleaning ports or IVs that were hooked up to my body. Her license was reported to the board for multiple reasons and is under investigation. This hospital is a prime example of lack of competency. The reviews even state they have had several lawsuits against them over the past years. This hospital and the staff fall short of anything that healthcare is supposed to stand for. I strongly advice against going to Lexington Medical Center for ANY REASON.
My husband and I had the pleasure of getting our covid vaccine shots at Lexington Medical Center. I dont know who is in charge of this vaccine clinic but they deserve a big thank you from the community. We were in and out within 25 minutes including our 15 minute observation time for both vaccine appts. After hearing horror stories from others that waited hours we truly appreciate the efficiency of everyone we encountered at this vaccine site. Thanks again for providing this service to our community.
My healthy mother in law Thalia Kay Received her first Covid vaccination. 9 days later she was rushed to the ER with breathing problems. A few hours later a nurse at Lexington Medical Center walked into the waiting room and told us she was gone. The DR said she had DIED My family walked into the room her husband Dr Kay checked for a pulse and there was one. She was still ALIVE That was the last time her family was allowed to see her. They are being refused visitation. They literally told the family a living woman was dead My wife and father in law just want to be able to see her again. Please call Lexington Medical center 8037912000 and ask them to let her family see her. They said THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL LET US SEE HER IS TO SIGN A DNR If there is not a DNR in place they are not allowed in the room
Awful hospital. Just avoid
Dr. Perez his Staff are very Polite Professional. Dr. Perez makes sure all your questions concerns are answered. Dr. Perez is very empathic caring. Hes a easy to talk to and a Super Guy👍
Kirsten the front desk lady ALWAYS has a mental problem every time I call the front desk. She assumes that she knows exactly what Im about to say and cuts me off before I can say or ask anything regarding what I need done. Extremely rude She had my referral for at least the past two weeks and refused to call me to inform me. I called her office yesterday and she admitted they had the referral but she discarded it because your doctor mentioned you are uninsured and we dont accept uninsured patients. EXCUSE ME? since the referral was sent Ive had a new employer and new insurance coverage. Kirsten could have been a better patient advocate and rep by CALLING ME to see if the insurance info has changed since then. I told her this She started pointing fingers saying that the other doctor should have called me instead. Then she decided to tell me that this office is booked out for the next 2 mos and Im pretty sure she is lying. I feel like it gets extremely personal with her every time I call LMS. I have not done anything to warrant the type of terrible behavior she displays. I dont know if she is discriminating against who gets in at that office or if shes just miserable and lazy and turning everyone away because she doesnt want extra work to do or what but LMS either needs to remind her she is there for the patients and its not the other way around. She needs to find a job that doesnt have much human interaction because clearly this job is not working out for her.
Had to stand in the ER for over six hours with a pilonidal cyst in excruciating pain. Could not sit and they knew that. There was also a man laying on the ground outside in pain from a kidney stone who had been there before I got there. He eventually had to ne transported to another hospital for treatment. Then once I finally get back into a room I see bed bugs crawling across the bed
The emergency room is completely slow. It is ridiculous to set in the waiting room for more than two hours with a sick child and before even getting called to the back. Pissed Grandma
Lexington Medical Center might be one if the first hospitals I have ever encountered. The staff the ones I have come into contact are rude and unprofessional. They get security after they treat you like nothing. The social worker told she was jealous of me because she couldnt wear dark lipstick. I got hit by a car and they wouldnt give me a fill foot brace. The Emergency Supervisor vtood the cab driver I was suing everybody. What the witkdvis going on in South Carolina. Am I an enemy of the state? Is it because Im a Muslim or because Im married to one or because I am suing those who wrong me?? Either way tread softly here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
