To all involved with my outpatient surgery Tuesday from checking in to discharge - super job done by all. Everyone was professional, curteous and informative. You guys are number one in my health requirements. Keep up the great work.
Being sick is not a good thing! Waiting nine hours in an emergency room lobby with many sick and injured people is worse! My sister, who has type I diabetes, did just that at Lexington Hospital Emergency Room. Her sugar level reached 550, and she threw up many times while we waited! Others had waited even longer before being seen. Patients were shuffled around like pawns from cubicles back to the lobby checking vitals signs several times. On one occasion an attendant actually came into the lobby to check patient's vitals. The reason this is alarming to me is that the lobby was so unkept as were the restrooms. I went to the nurse at the desk three times to alert her that my sister's sugar level was continuing to rise at an alarming rate. We had her diabetes monitor with us to check it, but never did the nurse acknowledge the increase in her sugar levels! Her heart rate became very rapid, she became very disoriented, and she was very weak and dizzy. We were so outraged at the care, but could not leave! We called her personal doctor early on, but his nurse urged us to stay and see the doctor there with such high sugar levels. So we felt, as each hour passed, that we surely would be next! Our cry today is, please never go to Lexington Hospital ER! She was finally seen and admitted to the hospital into the intensive care unit! Thank goodness, she is still alive!
Just go somewhere else. This place is run worse then our federal government. I've waited 6 hours to never be seen before. This time we have been waiting 4 hours while my 18 month old son is having an allergic reaction to something that we don't know. When I asked about wait time being that I have 2 other little ones with me I was pretty much told we will see you when we see you and yours sons spreading rash and high fever pretty much mean nothing. This hospital Is a joke. I have lived in 5 states and been to hospitals in all of them. Lexington is by far the WORST.
We will avoid all Lexington Medical Center affiliated doctors and services. Every time we go for an office visit/procedure staff are drenched in perfume. A woman in radiology kept asking me questions about my husband with him standing there. Just because he has a physical disability does not make him retarded. We have spent 7 months trying to get our first visit with Dr. Plante. Staff subjected us to CT scans, expensive labs, and made me wait an hour past my appointment for a bone scan, because the tech was filing?? I was the only person waiting and could not wait another 40 minutes for her to file. Then, try to get copies of your labs and CT scans. They tell you Hipaa will not allow them to send them to you??? But, every other lab/imaging center will send them to you. You can send patient records to the patient! It is all about inconvenience and poor customer service. Avoid them!
I was transfered from urgent care with a bed number written on the front of my packet got here and have sat in the emergency room like i was a new patient with an iv in my arm for over 2 hours while the staff have gossip hour i have a blood bacteria infection which im supposed to have nonstop antibotics with a 101.3 fever.
My daughter, Heather Moody isn't a veteran at having cancer. Few are. She was, I'm sure, typical. Apprehensive, frightened, and turning to her doctors with complete trust and clinging to them and their advice. That why doctors take an oath. Because the public, at that point, are looking to them as their hope for proper treatment and recovery. Dr. Vijaya Korrapati needs to be made to go back, and re-read that oath. She needs to have more training. When my daughter complained about back pain, to brush her off with a phone call from someone in her office and told to go see her PCP, that it had nothing to do with her cancer ... without even clinically examining her, or ordering an MRI to be sure ... is worse than cold rudeness at a time when a patient is the most frightened and desperate ... it's total negligence. Period. I want to say to you the reason your best days are still ahead of you, are that my daughter is still alive and has a doctor (Dr Quillen Davis) who cared enough to take over, order the MRI, and schedule the Pet Scan. I'm reminding you today, Dr. Korrapati, that you think she is a 'patient'. She is my DAUGHTER, a human being, and you would do well to go to bed tonight saying that over and over in your mind so you would remember that forever. Very good advice. Lexington Hospital ... my advice to you is that you have a "career conference" with Dr. Korrapati and see if some 're-education' on patient care and professionalism might not help her outlook and treatment of her patients. Remember, her attitude, actions, or lack thereof reflect on the hospital not just herself. I expect far better treatment of my daughter in the coming weeks. That way, I can remain in Texas.
This is regarding Vijaya Korrapati, med oncologist - my daughter, Heather Moody. has breast cancer which was, evidently treated properly but she complained to Dr Korrapati regarding back pain and was told by the Dr to see her PCP. Today she had an MRI, prescribed by her radiologist Dr. Quillen Davis, which determined that the pain was most likely caused by cancer in the spine and she will have a PET scan next week to determine if that's the case. She will find a new medical oncologist.
I had an amazing experience at the MAC, L&D and mom and baby. The nurses were knowledgeable, kind and so attentive. My doctors visited me frequently. I had a bit of complication in my pregnancy and my baby is in special care where she has also been given amazing care. My nurses followed up and popped in for very short visits as I was there for several days myself and they wanted to wish me well and check in with me. They were very informative during shift change and I felt like the communication between nurses was excellent. Same for the doctors who were all aware of my case and very attentive. The nurses in special care have helped my tremendously with my tiny baby through keeping me informed, talking with me about her medical care and working with me to give me so many tips and pointers her care. Hopefully, she will be home this week happy and healthy and this is all because of the great staff at LMC
I will not have my child here in the ER for almost 3 hrs and not being able to keep anything down to get nutrients to baby bean isn't important.. wtf
Waiting for a simple ultrasound. It has been almost 3 hours. The staff is unable to provide an estimate of how much more time it will take to be seen. Poor management would account for an inability to effectively utilize resources and personnel. Recommend an analysis of system or just check out benchmarking of other hospitals. There seems to be a VAST amount of room to better or improve this painful waiting in a hot and stuffy waiting room. I have seen many people walk out and now there is a whole row of people in wheelchairs. For shame Lexington Medical Center, you can do better....

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
