Palmetto Imaging - West Columbia's Online Review Report Card

I am not happy at all with the response of Palmetto Imaging West Columbia. I was originally scheduled for the Irmo office and switched to West Columbia. I had a STAT CT scan ordered on Wednesday and as of at 3pm on Friday the test was not read by the radiologist. I had to call and ask why I did not received a notice of the results. I called the office and was told "Oh I'm not sure why it has not been read yet." I was told on Wednesday the test was STAT! I left a message for what I thought was the office manager on Friday and its currently Monday 1:54pm and I have not heard anything from her. I call today (Monday) and left another message over an hour ago and still no one has called me back and the ordering physician has not received the results yet! this is HORRIBLE SERVICE. I am concerned about several medical issues I have going on and this location has no concern at all. The only person that really showed any care at all was Destiny when i spoke with her on Friday after Mike did not send my results like he said he would before he left for the day. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION EVERY AGAIN! If your health concerns are minor this location is for you. If you have issues that are concerning to you please consider my experience!

My wife and I specifically provided all insurance information and asked for the out of pocket amount ahead of time to avoid any surprises. She had a specific scan so the price shouldn’t change. When the bill came it was $300 higher than quoted. Both the local provider and national billing offices said it was our problem not theirs. If you want your bill to match your quote, this is not the provider for you. Update: followed up on 10/22/2024 as requested in the review response. The office manager for this location was completely unaware of the situation and could only take my information and pass it along.

Beverly in the call center is very sweet and so helpful every time I call. She solves every issue the first time you ask for help and never has to say " let me call you back". Beverly has the perfect personality to be working with people who need the extra help and compassion that seems to be lacking in this world. When I call, I always hope she's the one who answers. The MRI tech was the bomb as well . I haven't called anyone the bomb, like ever, but the MRI tech was able to squeeze my son into the schedule so he could get multiple imaging done at the same time. She was very sweet and we appreciated the accommodations. Thank you Palmetto imaging !

STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR JOB. EXPLAINED EVERYTHING VERY WELL... CAT SCAN WAS A BREEZE. GREAT RADIOLOGIST AND ASSISTANT.... I FELT WELCOMED IN THIS OFFICE FROM THE FRONT DOOR TO THE BACK. WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE 👍💗👍WHICH MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME... THIS OFFICE HAS IT TOGETHER... A BLESSING. GREAT JOB.

I went for a CT SCAN and I was ask by the receptionist if I was allergic to contrast dye and I told her that I am always pre medicated if it's with contrast. I wasn't informed by the ordering physician that I was to have CT scan with contrast. The technician preceded to insert an iv and I never thought anything about it. Five minutes later I was in ii was in anaphylaxis shock..ambulance was called and 3 hour stay in the ER Thanks to the knowledge of the crew on ambulance and.Gods grace I am here today. All because they never read mychart either e r at the dr office or in the lab.

Top quality!! The technician, Michael was patient and did his best to make me comfortable. Kind and caring staff overall. Would definitely recommend them.

I have had to have frequent scans and X-rays the last few years and the people at Palmetto Imaging are always accommodating, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend their West Columbia location for the personnel!

Staff - knowledgeable and explains the process well , easy to approach for questions, pleasant and professional. This includes the staff at the facility and the staff who makes the appointments. I appreciate knowing the estimated cost and it seems that I can get in for a test much more quickly than other facilities.

Timely, courteous, professional, catering, those are just a few words that come to mind. I had an MRI (with Ron) and a CT scan. Both were more than accommodating. I was extremely anxious and everyone involved put me at ease. It starts at the door when the man and lady greet you. This is DEFINITELY where I will receive any and all future scans.
