This review is tough for me because my over all birthing experience was not bad and I don’t have anything to say about the doctors themselves. But a 3.2 rating for a women’s care facility is really poor and I think it has to do with the nurses. Every time I call or message my chart it’s just another useless response. They put no effort in to communication . A company that the office billed on my behalf is sending me mail and when I call the office to discuss it or even get contact number for the company necatar, the response I get from nurses are ‘no sorry we don’t have any contact info’ I find that so hard to believe of the company YOU use, it’s the company YOU bill. They weren’t even helpful enough to provide me with billing department contact info. They literally took the time in a MyChart response to simply say ‘no we have no info’ that is so poor to me. Then I call yesterday and the nurse answers the phone but tells me it’s too late to schedule, why even answer the phone if you are not going to help me. That’s what the voicemail is for. SO POOR!!! Same call same nurse I’m giving her my symptoms and trying to communicate she doesn’t try to triage at all. The cashier at Walgreens had more to offer to help me with OTC products for my symptoms than the nurse. Walgreens showed more care and took more time then the nurse that just answered and wanted to go home. The nurses phone presence was so bad she mumbled her name so who even knows who assisted me. And what sucks for me is it would be more of a hassle to meet new doctors and change offices all because of the poor nursing staff. A very very very poor experience and hope I get to tell the doctor to their face. Wish I had said something to the nurse directly but I would have been called a ‘Karen’ but of course we don’t have a nickname for customer service people when they don’t act right. For that nurse to have some sort of license and not take action to help…POOR SERVCE!!
Wouldn't see me because I was too far along in my pregnancy.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Grumbach since 2016 and have had nothing but good experiences, from annuals to tubal ligation and the staff is always wonderful.
FYI…Thank you!
Excellent care during my entire time as a patient. Most recently as a mother- Dr Brooks saved my baby’s life during an emergency c section. Will never forget her!
Dr. Laffitte recently performed a surgical procedure on me. I was extremely anxious. I loved that he took time to pray with me and my family prior to surgery. He rendered a very detailed and unrushed report to my family after the surgery was over. My family was very impressed. I appreciate his caring personality during a unnerving time. His meticulous care meant the world to me!! I haven't seen many doctors like him and just wanted to share my experience.
Long wait times for mediocre care. It really depends on which physician you end up seeing (you never know until you show up as an OB patient), but I think I will be looking for a new practice for my next pregnancy.
Don’t go here if you don’t want prescriptions that you need being held hostage in exchange for another appointment. I became a patient of Dr Robert Knowleton in September 2023. I was given a prescription for Medroxyprogesterone (Provera) with seven refills. That’s what my bottle says, and that’s what MyChart says. MyChart for some reason also says I have only three refills left. Which can’t be accurate because I only refilled my prescription once. CVS has some type of hold on my prescription saying “needs prescriber renewal.” This is not the same message I usually see when my regular doctor needs to renew my prescription. So I reached out to the office to inquire about the status of my prescription at CVS. The nurse, Jessica King, reached out to me saying how the doctor wanted to do a follow up on my first appointment, and asked if I would be able to come. Which I didn’t plan to stay with his office because they moved to Forest drive and I want to stay in Lexington. She did not address my concerns about the status of my prescription at all. So I wrote back stating that I assume this means they’re holding my prescription hostage in exchange another appointment. Of course, haven’t heard anything back. FYI, I was unable to keep the follow up appointment because I no longer had my job that I had insurance through by the time the follow up was to take place. My new insurance didn’t kick in until February. I was going to make a new appointment with a new doctor when I realized my prescription had basically been snatched back by Dr Robert Knowleton’s office.
If you are a pregnant transfer patient I would not recommend this practice if you’re looking to schedule an appointment quickly. My previous out of state OB transferred all of my records to Charity, who was supposed to call me back within 5 business days to let me know she’s received my paperwork/they’ve accepted me as a patient. It’s now been 3 weeks, and I have called multiple times trying to figure out what is going on and it seems even the front desk has trouble connecting with Charity. I’ve received multiple promises for call backs, and I have not received one phone call. My previous practice was so on top of things that I can’t even fathom what the rest of my experience would’ve been like here.
Billing (Sarah) was incredibly difficult to deal with. They also want you to sign a document saying you will get a c-section at 40.6 weeks if you've had one before

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
