Made a child with a severe head injury wait in the waiting room for 2 hours without even checking vitals. Left ER to take child to after hours care where the doctor stapled the child's head together and diagnosed a concussion within 25 minutes of walking in the door.

08/15/2023 The worst hospital ever. We had to wait 2 hours and 40 minutes to get into a room then wait for the doctor. Who didn’t seem to care that we were there. The nurses in the ER are rude and ugly. So disrespectful to people when they are in pain. The more mad I got, the longer we had to wait. Nice way to take care of people that are in pain. Seriously, don’t waste your time at this hospital. Go to Sioux Falls. The worst ER experience. Dr Schafer and her fat nurse with a pig nose are disgusting evil people.

Shameful and evil. Avera= all that's wrong with American healthcare. It's impossible to know how much you're gonna pay. The bills never stop coming in. When you think you got the last one there's 2 or 3 more. The bills are confusing as hell. the surgeon didn't follow up afterwards. So arrogant. Why not do more tik Tok dances and make everyone get vaccinated and charge us a billion bucks for it.

This is THE WORST hospital I have ever been to in my life. I was told multiple different things by multiple different people and was never given a full explanation on my health care plans. Also threatened to call security and police on me when I was expressing my 1st amendment right to free speech. Save yourself a headache and days of not know what’s going on and drive somewhere else. Dr. Hillary Rockwell you should be ashamed of how you are running your hospital.

If I could give 0 stars I would. What an absolute joke this place is. My father in law is a type 1 diabetic. Monday he went in for help. They gave him 2 IV bags of fluids and sent him on his way. Didn't do a physical or anything. He was still slurring his words and off balance when they discharged him. Then last night I called EMS. Again they said he was fine. But he wasn't. He was throwing up blood, extremely cold, shaky, dehydrated, had chest pains, and his kidneys hurt. But yeah he was fine 🙄. This morning, my husband and 3 other women turned a blanket into a stretcher and loaded him into a vehicle. Upon arrival to the hospital his core temp was 88 (hypothermia), his blood sugars were 1,200, and he was in DKA. But yet he was "fine" our family is now pressing charges against the hospital. What an absolute joke. Definitely living up to the queen of death nickname
