Horrible ... my child was referred last year, it took forever for them to even make contact. Every time I asked I would hear oh avera says they can't get ahold of you (even though my phones glued to my hand so there's no way I missed it). Fast forward a bit I end up taking him out of school to homeschool beginning of May 2021. Avera has made contact and has said even though he's homeschooled they will honor the referral. I had transportation issues that year and couldn't get him to the appointments. Now it's 2nd grade year and the same things are happening again for many reasons involving the school. And yes I know my sons not perfect. But now avera is refusing service this year even though they were going to work with us last year. The reason I was given was oh he's not in school, we have a lot of other kids in school that need our help. But where we're they when he was in school and needed help. Then proceeds to refer me to an outpatient place that will help. Turns out she gave me an avera pager number. Seems like this place and hayward elementary are just not doing what they claim to be skilled and trained for. The whole benefit of the schools referral is so kids don't have to wait 9 plus months to get into a child therapy session. I thought the goal was to help children. Apparently not. Time to start making some calls.
Expensive.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
