Dr. Arend is a genuinely good person. He has my trust as my doctor.

No matter if your a Male or female, he's got to be the kindest man on earth. He really cares for his patients. With Dr. Arend your NEVER just a file number to him like a lot of other doctors. And his nurse is just wonderful as well!!

There are better physicians here. Had a test done I didn't want done.

A cancer diagnosis can be extremely frightening. However, from the moment I learned of mine, Dr. David Arend guided me in a manner that provided complete explanation, understanding, choices, and treatment. Most importantly, his knowledge, professionalism, and compassion gave me the confidence and sense of peace I really needed to move on and through the entire process, including surgery. Dr. David listens and I feel senses what is going on in the heart and mind of the patient. Along with his brilliance, he is also so human, kind and caring! His occasional sense of humor is priceless as well. Bottom line, if you need a doctor of urology, you'll find the best in Dr. David Arend!

The guy knows his stuff. Takes time to speak with you and tells it like it is. Very empathetic and not afraid to show humor at appropriate times. HIGHLY recommend.

I’ve seen many urologists through my years of kidney stones but Dr. Arend is by far my favorite. I feel like he really listens to my concerns and explains everything well. I absolutely would recommend Dr Arend!

He is an excellent physician who knows his area extremely well. A very personable man who is extremely thorough in his treatments. He is the first doctor that has ever called me at home to check on my condition. You will glad you chose him as your urologist

I just REALLY love him and his nurse so much. Dr. Arend was recommended to me by my nephrologist Dr. Arvin Santos. I've NEVER EVER looked twice in any of his methods of treatments for me. And he's got just the perfect bedside manner that doctors really should have. And goes WAY OUT OF HIS WAY to make you feel comfortable. And so does his nurse that travels to the MITCHELL, SD OUTREACH CLINIC where my husband AND I see him. Even though we've had to move to a city where I'm sure there is one here that is definitely closer by going just blocks, but we love DR. AREND sooo much that we choose to go 3 1/2 hrs. of driving to see him. To me IT'S WORTH THE TIME AND DRIVE IF YOU FIND YOURSELF A DOCTOR WHO TAKES THE TIME AND INTEREST IN YOU AS HE HAS IN BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I!!! We will stay true to DR. DAVID AREND!!

Very thorough in his exam and telling me what was going on and what my options were for correction. Very pleasant--good bedside manner

was in sever post surgical pain after a stone removal. Bad infection..given Cipro repeatedly..called for a post surgical trip to the er for the pain.. bleeding, and pnuematuria..nothing was found on the er scan but had a severe urinary tract infection...Cipro wasn't working..was told by the er dr to follow up immediately with Dr Arend. Was told by Dr Arend's nurse that he was booked but he looked at the scan and nothing is wrong with me Urologically so he won't see me and there isn't anything to be done. I asked why a UTI wasn't considered urological and was told well..it is but your primary care physician can manage that. Was told the severe pain was normal and use over the counter meds even though my pain level was an 8. Was also lied to by either Dr Arend or his nurse. Dr Arend told me after the stone removal that he removed the stone and it was sent to the lab for analysis. When I called in severe pain still 3 weeks later and was refused an appointment, the nurse told me no stone was sent to the lab because it could not be found during the procedure and it is "assumed" that the stone came out when the instrument was removed. Found a new urologist who feels follow up care is important and who cultured the infection in the urine sample and changed my medications. Finally am getting some relief. I also saw Dr Robbins for the stent removal and he bruised me externally then denied doing so even though the bruising was prominent. I would not recommend any doctor from this urology practice and certainly not Dr Arend.
