I went to Dr. Baumgarten for a second opinion and he was very up front about needing further testing to rule out a tear in the rotator cuff and to protect further injury. He was very polite, professional and informative.

He took the time to learn my history and understand where I’m at in my pain journey. He laid out all the options and the pros and cons of each, which made me feel very comfortable and informed! He was also very receptive to my questions and answered them with science-backed answers.

When I went in to talk about MRI results I was honest with him and told him even pendulums were hurting. I was ready for surgery. He said he usually waits longer but he ran his fingertips down my upper arm and i about came unglued he said that hurt I nodded he said hows your sleep I said 2-3 hours a night he said well Why do you want to jump straight to surgery. I told him you fixed my left shoulder and I know you will go above and beyond to fix right as well he teared up and said yes I will take the very best care of you. I wouldnt choose anyone else I am so blessed he is my surgeon.
