I'm a well educated physician, who graduated at the top of his class. The lack of care and downright lack of understanding of basic medicine taken with my close relative recently caused a significant delay in his care. He left Yankton, at my request, and went to Sioux Falls. Once the team in Sioux Falls saw his problems, they immediately performed surgery and said it was significantly more difficult because of the delay in care. This delay and difficulty in the surgery increases the risk of post-op complications, including a long term risk of small bowel obstructions. Not only this, but because the infection was allowed to continue in his body for a prolonged amount of time, he developed bacteria in his blood, raising a whole other host of possible complications. There is zero excuse for the lack of care he received in Yankton. Do not trust this group. Go to Sioux Falls.

When I went in to see this doctor I was very ill and very scared. I'm relatively young and haven't had many health issues. It took a four days from when my test results were in to when I actually made contact with this doctor, after multiple attempts calling him at his office. He told me my results came back clear but it wasn't until having my records transferred to a specialist that I found out there was serious internal irritation. And he had written in my chart that my symptoms were psychological. Something a specialist assured me they were not. He lacks bedside manner and seems to be the stereotypical surgeon with a God complex. I wouldn't send my dead goldfish to him.
