Very patient, spends the time for difficult cases. I would recommend to anyone.
Dr. Arnold called me over the weekend with results after had numerous tests performed on a Thurs. or Fri. Very few docs do that ! Tech staff professional, administrative staff polite and billing staff quite accommodating (helped thru Medicare billing errors). Some tests protocols very unpleasant but tolerable with their compassion and patience. Office wait times longer than should be. Dr, Arnold or his nurse will return calls, online patient portal cumbersome, needs improvement,
On my first visit Dr. Arnold spent well over an hour with me going through all my different symptoms. He was extremely helpful and took the time to educate me about caring for my health issues. Excellent doctor!
Dr Arnold saved my husbands life. Very compassionate.
HE ACT AS IF YOU ARE WAISTING HIS TIME, DOES NOT BELIEVE YOU ARE REALLY INJURED DUE TO THE JOB INJURY. MY VISIT ON 2218
I was very disappointed with my experience with this doctor. There was almost no communication between me and the doctor. After completing several tests I received an email from his nurse that saying she was making me an appointment at a cancer clinic. I called his office and asked to speak to him about why the referral, but was never able to speak to him or any of his staff. I did follow up at a cancer clinic and after much testing, I do not have cancer, so he put me though all the anxiety and worry for nothing.
It stinks to have to find another doctor, but his basic knowledge is not worth the hour plus you have wait past your appointment time.
His basic knowledge is NOT worth the hour plus you have to wait past your appointment time! I will be looking for another neurologist! He and his staff are nice, but nice isnt good enough.
I was referred to Dr Arnold by my primary care physician after I was involved in a car accident. He gave me one very elementary Nuro test anyone could pass. Then he told me I was fine and asked me if I had seen a doctor about my speech problem. The speech problem I developed after the car accident. But remember he wrote in my medical records there was nothing wrong with me. I had almost a years therapy after my visit with dr Arnold from a brain injury specialist. Dr Arnold was too afraid of correctly diagnosing someone who had been involved in a car accident instead of honoring his oath to medically treat people.
I love this doctor. I have had multiple sclerosis for 19 years. I have seen many neurologists in the Memphis area. After having several bad doctors, Dr Arnold was recommended. I have only been to see him twice. But from the moment I walked into the office, his staff made me feel like family. They were warm and inviting and seemed to care. Dr Arnold spent an hour with me on my first visitmand well over an hour on my second visit. He is very thorough and lets you talk so that you can both work out a plan for the illness he is treating. his nurse Rebecca is an angel. She calls to check on you if you are taking new medications or if you just have a question or concern. Angela, his transfusion nurse is also extremely sweet and very helpful. I absolutely love Dr Arnold and the neurology clinic. The people and the atmosphere are much more warm and inviting than the doctors and nurses at Semmes Murphy. To the Neurology clinic and Dr Arnold and staff.......You guys ROCK!!!!
Dr. Arnold was so great to work with me when I didnt have insurance. He didnt charge me a big fee for his visit. I even had lab work done and he didnt charge me a big fee. I had gone to him for many years and I missed him when I moved.
The worst bedside manner and attitude of any physician I have ever been to. Condescending, arrogant, took offense to any questions I asked and basically just didnt seem to care. Very upset and left with a $220 office visit bill and still have to go to someone else!
Seems to not want difficult cases. example: person with severe migraine for >5 weeks with little to no relief, he only tried one preventative medication, because this person needed pain meds to keep migraine to level of 56 on pain scale (110 with 10 worst pain ever) while praying the preventative med would work, he told this person that the migraine was caused by an emotional/mental issue that they needed to see a psychiatrist and possibly go to rehab. He knew this person was and has been under the care of a psychiatrist and psychologist for over 5 years. I feel that because this case was going to be more difficult to treat and possiblly more time consuming that he didnt want to deal it. I feel he could have been more professional and told the person he didnt no what else he could do for them and possibly helped them find a doctor who could. The person was left feelin hopeless.
I had two tests done at this clinic. Since I had these tests previously done elsewhere,I knew what to expector so I thought. The first test was an electromyography which was done by 2 female technicians. This test was done the SAME way as I had remembered it. However, when Dr. Arnold did the nerve conduction velocity test,it WAS NOT done the same way that I had previously experienced it. I knew that he would stick a needle in different muscles and listen to the noise on his little machine, but he took the test a step further: Once he had the needle stuck in each muscle that he was testing, he then pushed the needle in more AND moved it BACK AND FORTH!!! I take pain medicine for several health problems, but I was sweating and in agony by the time he was finished. The pain medicine didnt help much while he did this to me. Since then, I have watched several videos of this procedure, but I NEVER saw one where the doctor pushed the needle in farther and then moved it back and forth. I personally think that he is crazy for doing this to me, and I would NEVER go back to him! On top of this, he was also very rude. He would ask me a question, and in the middle of answering him, he would interrupt me and ask me something else! I paid for the first office visit, but I doubt that Ill pay for the 2nd visit. That was when the tests were done.
Very good neurologist! Was able to diagnose patient with many complications and changed medication so patient could function! Seem many different neurologists and he was one of the best!
