Gives terrible medical advice. Would have died listening to his advice. First, he told me to return to work shortly after a concussion when I couldn’t even function and explained to him my normal job required 6080 hours/ week. Thankfully, my GP came to my rescue and told me to ignore this guy’s advice because I was clearly in no shape to work. I would have died if I had tried to work too soon. Second, he prescribed me medicine that I ended up having a nearly fatal adverse reaction even after I told him I was prone to being in the minority of getting side effect and I wanted to avoid taking anything that had this particular adverse reaction. A google search would have picked up the known adverse side effect. If you are a patient trying to recover from lingering concussion symptoms, I recommend going to a NUCCA chiropractor. They can heal you in months. Regret all the money I wasted going to neurologists like this one who just made my life worse with no compassion, empathy, or sympathy. I recommend this doctor take a good hard look at whether he cares about helping people or not. If the answer is no, I recommend getting out of the practice of medicine.
Dr. Kleinfeld saved my life by catching an inappropriate diagnosis from another physician I had been seeing for years. Without him it’s highly unlikely I would be alive today. He takes whatever steps and procedures are needed to ensure his patients are receiving the proper treatment and that the treatments he recommends are correct, medically necessary, and will only help his patients. His bedside manner, willingness to spend as much time as you need to understand what is going on and what needs to be done, as well as his passion for his patients makes him the epitome of what a doctor is SUPPOSED to be. You can tell he takes his oath as a physician extremely seriously. He treats his patients as if he is treating a member of his family, or how he would want another physician to treat his family. I HIGHLY recommend and encourage (without hesitation) any and everyone in need of a neurologist to see Dr. Kleinfeld!
I was treated by Dr. Kleinfeld following an ER visit for an unexpected neurological problem. After getting no answers in the ER, and lots of confusion with follow up instructions, I sought out a different doctor within Vanderbilt for help, finding Dr Kleinfeld. Prior to my visit, hed already reviewed my ER chart and test results. He spent a great deal of time discussing my symptoms, doing an exam, and explaining his diagnosis. He was thorough, patient, & thoughtful. I highly recommend this Dr.
Of you are looking for a doctor for any kind of headache related illness, go see someone else. He will tell you it is in your head and say you need to go see a psychiatrist. He doesnt spend any time with you at all listening to your problems.
Lack of addressing concerns, diagnosing, providing treatment options. General lack of concern for patient. No sympathy in regard to head / neck injury resulting in migraine and vertigo. Nurses are not considerate and do not return calls. Office is unorganized and unconcerned.
I came to Dr. Kleinfeld for a second opinion after seeing another neurologist and my experience was like day and night. I have a nerve injury in my head and through therapy and Dr. Kleinfelds care, I am much better. I could not by happier. Howard Price
Dr. Kleinfeld has a great bedside manner and pays attention to what I have to say. It may be a bit of a wait time in the office, but its well worth the wait. Good time to reflect on my health concerns.
Spends a lot of time with his patients listening, diagnosing and making suggestions.
Dr Kleinfeld impressed me with his skill and competence during his examination He took his time and answered all my questions. He seemed to know exactly what needed to be done and I never felt like he was rushing through my appointment. He inspired confidence in me that he knew what he was doing.
Does not return phone calls in a timely manner.
