The Dr's there MIGHT be good. However, if they are anything like the front office staff I would stay away. Called to make an appointment and was given an appointment of Thursday. Not even an hour later I received a call from there office explaining that a new girl who didn't know what she was doing scheduled the app. and they needed to reschedule. When she told me what day was available, I explained it was not do able, and before I could explain why she cut me off very rudely, and said that was all she could do. We will be going some where else, where we can be treated with some respect.

When we found out we were going to have our first kid, we looked into OBGYN's in Chattanooga because we wanted "the best of the best". The doctor we were going to see was moving locations, and so we couldn't get an appointment scheduled for several weeks, so we decided we would have our first appoint in Athens (where we live), and then switch to the doctor in Chattanooga once we were able to get an appointment. Well.. after the first visit, we decided we were going to stay with Lauterbach. He has been great and does an outstanding job. You don't have to travel to Chattanooga or Knoxville to find the best of the best. His staff is also very friendly.

Like all the dr's. Some of the receptionist can be really rude. Like when you say thank you before you get off the phone, they just say "uh-huh" and hang up. Learn some manners and say " your welcome, have a good day, is there anything else I can help you with?" #phone etiquette

I've only been to see him a couple of times, but so far he has been excellent!! Aside from long wait times in that office in general, my only complaint is that there are a few staff members who are absolute pains to deal with. Those specific staff members are rude, do not listen, talk down to you, and sometimes I firmly believe they don't know what they're talking about anyway. But this doctor is so good, I'm willing to overlook those specific staff members.
