My husband has used Dr Sumida twice and we love him. He’s no nonsense but an excellent Dr. We will never use a different surgeon. Highly recommend!

He was not very nice to me first visit no mask following up visits had to ask for him to put one on had really no empathy for the bad recovery due to nurse not listening to me about pain meds so I was forced to go with out pain relief it was HELL. I advised two nurses After surgery that I could not take Percocet I was told to take half or just take it anyway but if I had I could of gotten ill or even worse doctor and call nurse was told of this matter but Nothing was really done so it was a scrutiny pain Had absolutely no empathy on First visit after surgery by doctor All he wanted to do was get me out of the room Even lied and said he never even knew about what I was going through why is this doctor still in practice you can clearly tell he doesn't want to be here anymore I have read other reviews from disgruntled patients and he seems to have a very bad attitude

Unfortunately I had Dr Sumida as my doctor first visit he wore no mask second and third visit I had to request he wear a mask notice still some office Personnel not wearing masks how disrespectful he has the empathy of 1 I told him of my ordeal when it came to my recovery he was more interested in getting me out of the visiting room I explained to him that I had absolutely no pain medicine whatsoever due to the insistence of two nurses that I still take the prescription I tried to point out to the nurses. It would make me vomit and being quickly rushed out after surgery and scent home to soon my recovery was excruciating when it came to his empathy it was still zero I don't understand when he has complaints like this as I seen his other reviews from other patients that are not happy with him why he has not been reprimanded something needs to be done

I had a terrible illness and had to go to the ER. I was not sure what doctor I would be seeing. I did not have a primary doctor. Dr Sumida was on call and he examined me. I had to have blood drawn and some tests. I ended up having my gallbladder taken out. He drew on the paper towel in the ER my gallbladder and explained what was going to happen. I think he did a great job. My surgery went well and I had no complications. I’m surprised that someone put he didn’t explain things and got upset if they asked questions. This was not my experience at all. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Sumida is fantastic. He tells you the truth and takes excellent care of you. He does what has to be done for you to get the best outcome. My second surgery and third time to be in his care. I highly recommend him.
