Amazing bed-side manner, great sense of humor, knowledgeable, brief, to-the-point, and an overall great surgeon. We saw more results with Dr. Hiler in 1 visit than years of searching for answers at world-class institutions many of them in the Bay Area. We are deeply grateful for the care, healing and attention to us (including post-surgery and a phone call late at night).

What an incredible staff Dr. Hiler has created. I’m a pretty healthy individual but the few times that I’ve had problems I was nurtured back to health by Dr. Hiler. I suffer from diverticulitis. It’s very painful and I’m so thankful to have Dr. Hiler on my team.

I went to see this Dr. for my hand last October 2020. The people that screened me knew I wanted to be seen for a hand problem.I was in this Dr.'s office 2 minutes, was not examined, was not referred to any other Dr. He simply said I do not do that, and I realized I was in the wrong office. He told me he does not do hands. He does something entirely different.Imagine my shock when he billed me for the office visit.I called the office and told them I was not seen for my hand.They went to look at his notes and told me that this Dr. did a comprehensive hand exam and gave me a referral. I told them that never happened!I called my insurance company to let them know this Dr. billed fraudulently.

Dr. Hiler offers LINX ®, a new laparoscopic procedure to treat GERD. This procedure involves a string of metal beads that are drawn together by a magnet. When this string is placed around the lower esophagus, the magnet pulls the beads together and closes off the esophagus from the stomach.

Doctor Hiler performed successful surgery on my hernia. I cannot thank him enough for his professionalism and expertise.

Dr Hiler and his team at Presidio Surgical Center were fantastic. I received an epigastric hernia repair. I was down for 2 days after surgery with a little soreness and small bruising - mostly just getting in and out of bed was difficult. I was able to walk my very energetic labradoodle on day 2. I then comfortably flew 6 hours on a flight off to Florida for vacation and was swimming 7 Days after procedure. My scar is minimal measuring only 1.5 inches and well hidden above my belly button.

Dr. Hiler has a great consultative style and bedside manner. I recently had a hernia fixed thanks to a little innie becoming an outie from CrossFit squats and well these things just happen, don't they. I had a great in-office appointment with his friendly staff and we agreed a microsurgery would patch me right up. At the outpatient facility, he was informative about all the post-op expectations and also very friendly and kind. We had a few laughs, he has a funny personality, so this makes going under the knife a comforting. I'd suggest if you do happen to have One Medical that you don't use the CPMC facilities for the pre-op work if you value your time. So, note to others CPMC is ridiculously slow at the pre-op work.

Amazing Doctor, I would trust him with my life. Hopefully, when researching a doctor people are using more resources than yelp. Dr. H is an expert in the field of hernias. Highly recommend!

For hernia surgery I'd have no one else. Dr. Hiler and the team at Presidio Surgical are top-drawer. Excellent service and results.
