List of American Addiction Centers's Reviews
All I did was check to see if you take my insurance and Kristina has not stopped harassing me since. She calls and texts at all hours of the day starting as early at 8 am which wakes me up because I work night shift and will not stop after being asked to. I’ve blocked her 3 times and she finds new numbers to “reach out” to me with. Absolutely ridiculous harassment and UNPROFESSIONAL. And I’m not even in your care Would hate to see how you treat actual patients

AAC most definitely saved my life. They recognized that my drug addiction was a secondary problem to domestic abuse and violence. In a Monday I found out I was being flown to Las Vegas for detox and rehab. Once 3000 miles away from my abuser I was able to start my healing process and have continued to this day. You gave me back my life thank you Lori Caleb everyone thank youMolly A

I give American addiction five stars Im 51 years old started on drugs when I was 14 now I have over a year and a half cleane and sober It took me a couple times going back to American addiction facilities but then it stuck and the place in San Diego was the best place Ive ever been in my life Im from South Carolina and it makes me want to move to San Diego thank you for all the people that was there for me thank you for my life back.PS I went to walking to riding a bicycle to write out owning a Corvette by staying sober and working my butt off
Great intentions Im just so over these places that claim to help everyone in need but fail to mention AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT ON MEDICAID... they reached out to follow up however when I replied... they disappeared. Very discouraging

An AAC admissions rep called me 20 times within an hour... They are ruthless for that commission. Wow.
American Addiction Centers and their treatment center Greenhouse has been a very negative experience for my husband and I. The treatment center was horrible full of rude staff and relapse was everywhere. Money is all this company cares about nothing else. He relapsed both at treatment and immediately after returning home.Getting ahold of the billing people in Tennessee nowhere near the facility attended is virtually impossible. I called and emailed several times about paying and it took days for someone to finally call me back. You would think they would want people to pay? When they finally called back the lady informed us that the already $30000+ bill received was actually only 1 of 3 bills. The rest of the conversation was very unprofessional. They write your credit card information down on a piece of paper with address and everything and say they will put it in the system later. It took several minutes for her to get the information down correctly because they dont have a computer to input it into apparently. When I said I wasnt comfortable with my information just written on a piece of paper the employee got angry and began lecturing me that this is our process. I have never heard of a process so unprofessional. Can you not enter information into the computer?I am very disappointed in this addiction center. The programs dont work the people dont care and the billing is disorganized chaos.
I don’t even think a one star is warranted for our horrid experience with AAC. At a vulnerable and emotional time in our lives we put our trust in them to direct a loved one to a treatment center. We were misled by AAC with regards to insurance verification and after an almost $2000 investment in deposits and travel expenses our loved one was discharged after 5 days because insurance was not going to cover treatment. The treatment center had our loved one in their grasp in a fragile state and let him go without trying to figure out a treatment plan that would help to save him from a devastating disease. All AAC was willing to do was point fingers to the insurance carrier. The “team” at AAC that promised to do whatever necessary to get treatment in place abandoned us after they sold their services to us. Our hearts are heavy as we now are back where we started but in a more fragile state. Plus our trust level in the “addiction treatment” system has been compromised. AAC has done a disservice to our family. Their sales team however can be commended in playing on our family’s emotions and trust to make a sale.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
